Knowing the state of maturity of the dental apex is important in the following factors: knowing the indications for apexification, what an apicogenesis treatment consists of, what are the indications for apicocalcification, when to apply an apexification treatment and how a apicocalcification procedure. After various treatments, patients should be monitored until closure of the dental apex.
These treatments are performed when there is remnant of healthy pulp tissue (vital dental pulp), even after pulp exposure in young teeth through a dental pulpotomy procedure.

Buenos días, a cuantos milímetros debemos preparar el conducto antes del ápice inmaduro para recién aplica el hidróxido de calcio en un procedimiento de apicocalcificacion?

Hola Héctor. Aunque mi invitada es la especialista en ENDODONCIA, yo quiero pensar que se deja lo más cerca del ápice para inducir el cierre y se siga conformando, ya que si lo dejas lejano, se va a cerrar ahí mismo.
