    They really don't care how cold it is. In CT, they do give you Micheal Myers looking coats in the winter, but you can't take them on court runs. It's ridiculous. So all you have is an extremely thin pull-over sweater.
    And I always thought it was absurd that they make you go in front of the judge looking all disheveled because you couldn't shower, freshen up, or anything. Of course that's going to play a role in how the court views you...

    • @JamesRDavenport
      @JamesRDavenport 2 роки тому +1

      So did you serve time then in CT?
      I see that Larry has a lot of women subscribers following him out of curiosity, but not as many female convicts. It's a side of incarceration you don't see talked about as much, given the huge gender ratio difference in crime, but also just as interesting to learn about.

    First time I was on Con-Air, I was transferring from USP Atlanta (the transfer part of prison) to FTC Oklahoma City. Quietest I ever heard prisoners' ever. Then again from Oklahoma to Pennsylvania, USP Lewisburg ( the transfer center again). Said the plane had a problem and had to wait 2 hours while they fixed it. Sure didnt want to get on it then. Real quiet that ride. That shackling really sucked. Id rather starve than shit on that plane. I never messed with guards, especially the Marshall. They had the guns. Always amazed me how loading and unloading they had them surround the plane with the guns out. Made me realize shit was real. Must have sucked for you to have to go through process and being on that plane so many times. Hated processing. You can never describe how humiliating it is and how often it happens. So many in one small space to transfer into another small space. Shitting with cuffs on, cuffed to someone. Straight bullshit. Never met Chief and been to OKC twice. Both in "99. Thanks for sharing again. Brought back a lot of memories. Was fun to watch. Great video

    The movie Con-Air uses a Fairchild C-123 dubbed the "Jailbird C-123", actual Con-Air I believe use 3 or 4 different planes, three being the Hawker 800, Boeing 737 and a SAAB 2000. Mind you aviation technology is constantly advancing and this could have changed lord knows how many times but those are a few of the planes :)

    There was a flight I was on that had a radio channel that allowed passengers to listen to the air traffic communication. I distinctly remember hearing Con Air communicating with the air traffic controller. This memory stood out because I didn’t know what con air was. It didn’t sound like the name of an airline. I had a feeling the name sounds familiar.

      Cool but wouldn't Con Air have some kind of secret code that they use to communicate to air traffic control with?

    • @alexisrivas307

      @@doctordogelordtmg9637 air traffic control does exactly that and only that. They control the air traffic. Pilots asking for permission to take off and land. I read that he was one of the main reasons why they built ADX Florence because he killed a guard and was involved in the 87 Atlanta riots (Cubans let him out of his cell to roam freely) where he actually spared a guards life because the guard was nice to him in the past. He also spent the last 36 years of his life in solitary. Side note. In the movie US Marshalls, the plane crashes. The plane that crashes was filmed in southern Illinois. That airplane is currently located in Belknap. IL. The plane is underwater t Mermit Springs Dive Resort. When I was in college, I was in scuba diving and I actually went to that place and scrubbed the airplane clean. I also got stuck on the plane during a training dive. True story. But that airplane is in Southern Illinois at a dive resort.
    Also, you mentioned John Ghotti with Con Air. My youth pastor was a correctional officer at Marion Fed. prison in Marion, IL. He was on the inmate transfer team. When John Ghotti came to Marion he was on a private plane. He flew into Scott's Airforce base. John refused to get off the airplane and my youth pastor got on the plane and dragged him off. lol I know Marion Penn would use the airforce based because they didn't have to worry about commercial flights and it was more controlled when they got on based. Just an fyi

    There is only one female FCI medical center in the whole country. It is on the former Carswell AFB in Fort Worth, Tx. Female federal prisoners who need surgery or long term medical care are flown there for treatment. At first, they had planned on doing surgery there, since the hospital had just undergone a huge renovation project, but it was quickly decided to contract out that part of it to a local medical center. So, we had the surgical prisoners along with guards at our hospital when they were scheduled for surgery. It was an interesting process. But we also saw the larger 737 as well as the Lear jets or Gulfstreams coming and going quite a bit. I think they have added a "nursing home" unit there as well.

      Never been to prison myself, but I'm pretty sure they couldn't care less about their fears.

    Whenever I watch you Larry I always feel blessed that I will almost never have to see the inside of a US jail cell, but I have a question.
    When prisoners are being transferred, whether by bus, train or plane, how would you pass the time? You've said sometimes that you might be on that bus 16 hours; do they allow you to have a book or magazine? How would you occupy yourself?

    My guy is in prison in New Mexico and there were times he had to be transported from one facility to another and although he purposely didn't go into detail about it I cringed at the thought of how badly he was treated. I cried but all I can do is pray for him every day until gets out.
