@@chawanvitpajjusanont9739 Thank you for your support :) Actually, I contact people who worked in Souls games ,like Bloodborne and Elden Ring, to get both the lyrics and the translations. Transcribing the lyrics would be a last resort choice, but as I already contacted people who worked in Bloodborne I do not intend to do that, I intend to wait till they reply to me again so that I can confirm more official lyrics and the texts they used to make them. I recommend that check out the video in the playlist on my pinned comment in which I show the explanation of a Bloodborne composer on how Sony created the lyrics. I also recommend that you watch my other Latin videos, like Mozart's and Final Fantasy's songs.
I love how at the start he's praising the blood, talking about how holy and awesome it is, but then he realises and start's trying to warn us and others of its dangers, but then he starts praising it again, signifying that he's now become a beast.
The tragedy of Laurence is that its so clear that at first he really did mean well by providing the blood to people to cure their ailments. Then an otherworldly presence whispered in his ear and proposed such potent promises that even a chief holy many couldn't ignore.
Eh, I wouldn't say Laurence meant well. There's no way he didn't know what his experiments were going to do to people. Maybe he cared about humanity in a very abstract sense, but it's pretty clear that actual individual humans could go f themselves as far as he cared.
@@Dreamerx47Yeah my own personal headcanon is a lot different from this too, and the lyrics help with the lore here too. I believe that while Laurence did go into building the healing church not having forgotten the adage "Fear the Old Blood" as signified by the lyrics in this track, I do think he got quite carried away with his desire for humanity to ascend and did not necessarily do some good things because of that (as witnessed by the white church garb description where they indicate that they believe medicine is NOT a means of treatment but rather a method for RESEARCH). And what happened in Old Yharnam also has me a bit sus about the Healing Church's involvement with that. I don't think he was motivated by curing ailments as much as a desire for ascension (we also find blue emissaries in the top of the healing church made from orphans?? And not to mention all the stuff that happened in the Research Hall) In regards to how the lyrics fit into his story, look at the beginning of the track. Laurence was always conflicted into how peering into the mystery might be peering into the beast but that it may be a means of ascension and is thus worth pursuing: "The blood is nectar from blasphemy but that is all we can rely on!". If you listen to the first half of the melody itself, you'll notice how they switch between happy, sad, and scary notes BACK TO BACK. To me, signifying that the effects of blood were always up in the air as to whether it was a good thing or a bad thing culminating into a crescendo starting at 2:13 where it starts becoming more clear that the blood has SIGNIFICANT side effects. "O ignorant one, fear". But those beautiful violin strings and the tragedy of Old Yharnam get cut out by Laurence's desire for grandeur (and imo is also symbolized by how Laurence is a screeching beast with half its body cut off and spilling his guts everywhere and STILL keeps coming after you!). The track ends with a hopeful melody despite the horrors "though that is all we can rely on... I believe!" I find it fitting that his punishment in the hunter's nightmare is him forgetting his purpose despite having been brought his own skull (read Laurence's skull description for lore here). He lived his whole life true to his purpose and now can't even remember it. Compare that to Ludwig who regains some humanity partway through the fight and even talks with you after his head gets cut off talking hopefully of the church. What a beautiful and tragic story 🥺
@@just-a-jazz I think it's possible to assume Laurence had good intentions if we assume that what the church eventually became isn't what he started. All of these things, the Choir, Old Yharnam, the Fishing Hamlet (though I think this really had nothing to do with the Healing Church, only Byrgenwerth), the research hall, the emissaries, might have come to pass after his death.
0:37 "I attain humanity, its brillance and lose it" - This is basically the adage of the Healing Church. Not the one we got in the game, but the one in the story trailer: "The blood makes us human, makes us more than human, makes us human no more", which is less fancy but gets the point across better in my opinion.
It really was until Sony rearranged the ost of Demon's Souls for its remake: ua-cam.com/video/AaOMkGK0WlQ/v-deo.html Anyway,Bloodborne ost is still the best :)
It's barely Latin with how insanely flawed it is tbh. Lots of filling in the gaps with headcanon to make the lyrics make some semblance of sense from Antonius sorta made it comprehensible.
Funnily enough, a few of the corrected lyrics do still fit on the beat, it'd be fun seeing someone produce a cover of the song with as many edited lyrics that still work as they can find
That'd be interesting for sure, but as I explain in the video "Bloodborne Lyrics and Translations - How Sony created them", Sony focused on musicality at the expense of the grammar rules, so I think the corrected lyrics cover would never sound as cool as a cover that uses the official lyrics, well I say it theoretically based on what the composer Ryan Amon explained to me, I'd love to listen to a cover that uses correct Latin from start to finish :)
Oh my gosh, that’s amazing!! Thank you so much!! You really are a blessing to this fandom. All this time we’ve only had fan translations of this song, and funnily enough, they were pretty close to this! But there were definitely some mistakes. It’s so nice to finally get the real lyrics.
Thank you very much for the kind words ^^ I managed to find a music producer who was willing to help my research, then I asked that person to correct the lyrics available on that site Genius then that person replied to me with the official lyrics and a free translation, which was very welcoming and served as a compass for me to understand the overall idea the lyricist wanted the lyrics to convey. The first lines are 98% the same, but from "pervenio" onward the official lyrics deviate a lot from the fan transcriptions. Sadly, I only managed to confirm lyrics for 2 Bloodborne songs so far. I hope to confirm more. Thank you for being here, Queen Victoria :)
@@raffaelbaumkaenguruh2654 Rejoice! I chose to publish Laurence first because the choir here sounds lound and clear, in Ludwig song it is hard to prepare a karaoke version by highlighting the syllables sung, mainly in the final part of the song.
Oh my god, you actually took my advice to put the lyrics in the description?!! You are amazing. Also, great work uncovering these too. Gotta say i'm slightly sad to find out the lyrics i knew for laurence were wrong, but at the same time i'm happy to find the real ones. Thank you
Thank you very much :) I put the lyrics there because the choir members sing the same thing, in Elden Ring, the choir is bigger and normally sopranos, altos, tenors and basses have slight different lyrics and singing times. I asked the music producer to correct those lyrics available on the site Genius and that person replied back with the official lyrics ^^
3:40 That's why Bloodborne music is the best Souls soundtrack! 4:44 We attain humanity, surpass and lose it. That's why you put perdimus here 0:43 I suppose. The producer's translation highlights that grammatical person inconsistency on numbers even more. Great research work!
Precisely! The Official lyrics "Pervenio humanitas splendor perdere" in the producer's translation are "We attain (...) and lose it", but pervenio means "I attain", so eam perdo (I lose it). Thank you for being here ^^
This game is so fucking good. The extra step they took to add deep lore and tragedy into the FUCKING SONGS for the bosses is insane. 99% of people would never know what is being said, but I feel as though I can apprecheate this game even more now knowing that THE SHIT IM HEARING MEANS SOME DARK TRAGIC SHIT!!!
I have recently studied Ancient Greek and, although I have yet to study Latin, I LOVED the grammatical glossary that you provided along with your translation! Seeing grammar and Bloodborne together has made me shiver with joy; great job!
Thank you very much :) I appreciate your enthusiasm ^^ I never studied Ancient Greek, but I have friends who did it. Some people say there are Greek choirs in the old God of War games, I intend to confirm that someday. There are many more Latin lyrics videos on my channel ^^
I'm so glad I found your channel. I've not played a second of this game and this game is already the best Fromsoft game (until ER was released), and this is my favorite OST.
"All be warned; the blood is the nectar of blasphemy, though that is all we can rely on." I think people characterise Laurence wrong. I don't think he was some megalomaniac trying to become a god for ambitious reasons. I think he and the rest of Byrgenwerth had a horrifying premonition of humanity's grim fate, and Laurence gave up everything to find a way to save them. His nightmare shows his utter failure to protect humanity; he is but a tortured beast with no wisdom on how to save anyone.

For trivia: "Ignotus, timere" is probably tied to the adage we learn at Cathedral Ward, with Laurence's skull. In fact, the adage in Japanese is not "Our eyes are yet to open, fear the old blood", but it is "O' ignorant ones, you would do well to fear the Blood". Also, "misterium" is also relied to the Eldritch Truth: in Japanese, both this term and the Arcane State are the same thing and they are called 神秘, which can be translated as: "sacred mystery". In short, the blood is the key for explore the depths of the cosmos and the dreams, and achieve greatness, if beasts would not drag you deep. My GOD, I love this game 🔥 Thank you for all the amazing work you're doing, this is such top-quality content!

@@AntoniusTertius oh, absolutely! I wouldn't say Elden Ring Lore is bad, but it's too derivative from the former titles, in my opinion. SEBASTIAN!!! I missed you! Thank you for being here ^^ I didn't have enough time to prepare another sephiroth organ arrangement before Halloween, but I published a video about the song lyrics :)
It is so interesting and rewarding to hear the actual translation of this song! I figured that OST lyrics couldn't be a 1:1 with actual Latin Grammar, so Its also really informative that you're pointing out what actually makes grammatical sense. Thank you for all this work you do! :)
Your telling me that Laurence at 1:39 , after realizing what he has done, did not raise his fist to the moon shouting 'Expectare, iste blasphemia?' I have been deceived! Thanks for the lyrics and explanations

@@TheCreedEvolution No,no, no. Time will fix that. Start singing "esti omnes cavete", you'll get used to it. New memes can be made, if that's the issue ;)
THANK THE GREAT ONES FOR YOU!!!! God, I've been wanting to know what the official lyrics were for these for so long. I prayed they would just release a book, one day, lol. Anyhuu~ Now that we have them... not quite as expressive as I was hoping, but still a beautiful reflection of choices, decisions made, and regrets. I hope you manage to get as many as possible. Furthermore, on other soundtracks... that sounds about right with FromSoft, using the musical feel to directly tell another part of the story. That said, outside of Re:Demon's Souls... I can't trust that's there no lore connection within some tracks if only because they have a habit of trying to throw fans off the trails, lol. All that aside, thank you so much for doing this. I'm sure a lot of fans figured we'd NEVER get a translation to any of their works, so if they found this a little bit after you uploaded it, well that must've felt like Christmas came early and decided to hang out x3
Thank you for your enthusiasm :) I expected they would release a book with the lyrics and the texts upon which they were based, and I still do actually because the guy who shared the official lyrics/texts of Laurence and Ludwig's themes with me last year has been silent ever since :( After that I managed to contact one of the composers, have you watched my video about the composer's explanation? Also, be sure to watch Godrick's official lyrics video. So far, the only Latin song in a Souls game whose music was produced by Bandai is "the song of lament" (as far as I officially confirmed). All other Latin songs in Souls games came from music produced by Sony (Bloodborne and Demon's Souls Remake).
Oh Laurence, genius good intentions mixed with unchecked ego and a refusal to listen to others is always a recipe for disaster. Wilhelm tried to warn you and keep you from fucking up like he did, but students do take after their teachers I suppose. The potential of the Old Blood was too tempting to ignore. Throughout the fight, I honestly think he's screaming and howling in pain and agony, lost and confused with nowhere to go, crying out for Ludwig, Brador, Gehrmann, Maria, or any of his old friends, but to no avail. His whole body is on fire, representing the fate of those in Old Yharnam, and his death in the waking world. He's condemned to continuously burn in agony for his crimes while also representing how his ambitions destroyed those around him as well as himself. He thought he could master the Old Blood and help his people transcend, and no humanity left in him to save. We can only hope that he's free and at peace now, though honestly, Satan would have a hard time coming up with a better punishment.
I rewrote the English lyrics a little bit in my own words since the english wording didn't feel quite right to me. This is NOT a retranslation. I don't know anything about Latin. I just changed a couple words here and there and used this video and google to make this. just for fun :) My rewritten English lyrics (not a translation) If you learned the strength of the sacrament, you shall be given the holy blood. The gift that is the secret holy blood. Attain humanity, its brilliance, lost. By the holy blood. To all be aware, the blood is the nectar of blasphemy! Gaze into the mystery, The beast will gaze back. To all be aware, the blood is the nectar of blasphemy! However, it is all I believe in… However, it is all to believe in! Unknown fear, unknown blood, fear. Fear the blood well. To all be aware of this holy blood! Gaze into the mystery. However, it is all to believe in… Believe!
You mean this 4:44 ? I found the "and learn" to be strange wording. The music producer sent the lyrics and the translation (lore text) typed, perhaps that part was mistyped? That's mainly why I decided to translate the lyrics, then show what it was sent to me at the end. In the Ludwig's official lyrics video, I didn't do that though. Oh, nice English lore text there :)
You're doing God's work and I hope you get more of the official lyrics! The case of Laurence is especially valuable since he's enormously important to the backstory of Bloodborne, but we only get to hear him speak two sentences in a single flashback. It's interesting to speculate about his motives if you interpret the lyrics as his words just before he became a beast. I especially like the sentence going something like "if you gaze into the mystery, the beast also gazes into you." Thank you for these videos!
Thank goodness we have someone who will do corrections as what the lyrics should actually be while also praising the music, I wish we had more people like you on the internet.
Thank you very much for your commending words :') Please, check out the composer's message that further explains why Sony used grammatically incorrect Latin in the lyrics, you'll find it on the playlist on my fixed comment.
@@AntoniusTertius And thank you for pointing me to it, and I have you to thank for helping me memorize the lyrics. When people ask if video games can be art, I would point them to two games: Hollow Knight and the Soulsborne games.
I love how the song tells about the blood and its power and mystery. I notice that that is how Latin is typically treated where grammar is pushed to the side in order to get a specific sound or work with the music. Nice to see both the song as it is written and what the proper grammar would look like.
I love how oddly positive this song seems, against the rest of bloodborne's vibe. While most other people are afraid, mocking each other, or becoming beasts, (sometimes all of them, I think) Laurence in this song seems to have been holding onto hope. At least whatever remains of him. While Ludwig sorta regains his sanity when pushed to his limit, Laurence has seemingly been in a dormant probably more sane state for who knows how long. Not a lore guy myself, but I wonder if Laurence is just as capable of speech as ludwig is in phase 2, and he's just in a sort of panicked state once you bring his skull near him. Or perhaps he retains mental faculties but can't speak as he doesn't even have a vaguely human jaw/vocal cords, so he simply attacks you in defense knowing full well that he probably won't win, but still wishes you and everyone else who is still alive the best, which is what the song tells us. Thanks for putting in all the effort to figure these lyrics out, it adds a lot of depth to the song. It always gave me more "this is a funeral, not a fight" vibes akin to Gehrman, and once you hear the lyrics that makes way more sense. This guy who's been around from the start and suffered from his mistakes for god knows how long still wishes you and everyone else to keep on fighting and find a solution. Even within the song, he says the mantra of "fear the blood" which is repeated elsewhere, and because of that you should also be afraid of peering into the mystery. Still not sure of what that means, but the song ends with him instead encouraging you to peer into the mystery nonetheless. Perhaps what lies within can be uprooted by someone, and could change things for the better. So basically this song is an old guy telling you: "I done goofed, but where there's a will, there's a way" but in the most sad, ominous way possible. I think that's pretty cool.
Thank you for your kind comment :) I also love how oddly positive this song ends. I'm not a lore guy either. I simply received the lyrics and lore texts from a music producer who worked in Bloodborne. I leave the lore analysis to Vaati XD Check out my other Souls lyrics videos (Elden Ring and Demon's Souls Remake).
What I love about this song so much much is that this feels like the true final boss of bloodborne, like everything’s been leading up to this moment similar to when facing Radagon, yes he is not the final boss the Elden beast is but everything in the game led to him. And anytime I hear Laurence’s theme it invokes a feeling like “what have you done Laurence?”. Also side note Germans theme is so good because it’s not fantastical or great, it really shows how despite everything he is the victim to all the horror and tragedies fixed to see everything fall apart in totality.
@@Xellerator101 There are some epic boss fights there, Gael's being the most epic of all (maybe of all Souls games). I never played Bloodborne because I don't have a ps4 nor a ps5 :/
I could swear that in the lyrics somewhere the first time I've heard it ingame I've heard "Oh subculent poison" instead of "Possumus Credo". They sound very alike in Latin tbh
The Latin pronunciation (both Classical and Ecclesiastical) is very different from the English one. Having said that, I can understand if a native English speaker mistakes possum for poison for example, mainly in this kind of music. Even I, a Latinist, can't always hear the exact Latin words in Latin choir songs, that's why I always try to confirm the official lyrics with music producers. Transcribing choir lyrics in songs with lots of orchestral sounds is not advisable at all.
since we are on bloodborne again, what is (in your opinon) the correct translation of "fear the old blood"? Verere/timere/metuere sanguinem antiquum/veterem Asking for friend before it becomes a tattoo
Fear in the imperative, second-person singular: Time or metue or verere; then old would be either veterem or antiquum or priscum; blood, sanguinem; and now you have to choose. Time/metue/verere sanguinem veterem/antiquum/priscum :)
Oh, yes, thank you, i was waiting for it since that Reddit post about meaningless Elden Ring lyrics. Thank you, i hope to see every Bloodborne song here :)
Thanks :) The Ludwig lyrics I received from the producer diverge greatly from those the fans made up years ago, but I think that's reasonable since the Ludwig lyrics are not as audible as the Laurence ones.

Although it doesn't match the intended translation, what does "Quamvis credo possumus" actually translate to? I'm curious of the cases where the structure of the lyrics is incorrect, such as switching between singular and plural, and where it's technically correct but doesn't match the meaning they were going for.
Quamvis in this case=although; credo=I believe; possumus=we can. That phrase put in the lyrics is so wrong, even if they intended to state only "although I believe we can", the correct Latin phrase wouldn't be like that. I couldn't confirm what Sony member was the lyricist, but I do believe that person doesn't know Latin quite well, even considering the reasons for the majority of the mistakes. Disjointed and incorrect Latin phrases can also be found in the remake of Demon's Souls soundtrack, which was produced by Sony as well.

I think, because of the popularity of Carmina Burana, there's a tendency to mix in grammar from medieval latin and sound changes that occurred in vulgar latin as it shifted into proto-romance where it "sounds right", because, in terms of musical composition, that's what most people think latin "should" sound like. I wonder if much thought goes into this or if it just happens organically as changes need to be made for musical reasons. Either way, when people analyze video game music that includes latin, they tend to look at it exclusively from the perspective of classical latin. Given the tone that this type of music is going for, it might makes more sense to assume that the composer was shooting for medieval latin and probably missed the mark given the relatively limited resources for that era of the language as opposed to the classical one.
Hi, you are actually overthinking the matter. I suggest that you watch my video called "Bloodborne Lyrics and Translations - How Sony created them", you'll find it in the playlist in my pinned comment here. I also recommend that you watch my Carmina Burana's O Fortuna video entirely :)

Correct me if I am wrong, but does that singer have a German accent? The r-sounds in "erit praemium" really made me think of that, as did the aspirated "thhhibi vis sakhhhhramenthhhhhum". My native accent, so I've been a bit self-conscious about that. Never noticed that before.
Interesting, I only verified Elden Ring singers' nationality (Hungarian for base game, and Japanese for the DLC). If I recall correctly, Bloodborne's singers worked for some English (UK) choir, well it was European, so perhaps there were some German singers? I never talked to them though, only to Bloodborne music producers. You're German? You enjoy organ music, right? Check out my Bloodborne organ album in my pinned comment ^^
With your corrections, i made this: Si discite tibi vis sacrementum Erit præmium sanguis (extended slightly to match sanguinem) sanctus. Erit præmium sanguis sanctus absconditus. Pervenio Humanitas splendor perdere. Sanguinem! Sanctum! Omnes Cavete; Sanguis est nectareus de blasphemia Respice intra mysterium, te respice intra et bestia Omnes cavete: sanguis est nectareus de blasphemia! Quamvis credo possumus (quam) quamvis credere (po)possumus! (Phase 2) Ignote. Timere. Ignote. Sanguinem timere bene facis (the IS is extended slightly to fit "benefacitis" Esti Omnes Cavete Sanguinem Sanctum! Intra Respice Mysterium Quamvis credo possumus... Credimus! I swapped some of the lyrics with the corrections and found that if some corrections are extended they can fit the musicality
And yet there'd be still grammar errors. It is hard to make them match, in the end it is reasonable what the music producer did, mainly considering that the guy is not a Latin scholar. I didn't take my time to fully rewrite the official lyrics for them to fit the notes of the song, but I can think of some corrections that would still fit the notes, but that would only be of use if Sony decides to record the song again and actually care for the Latin grammar rules XD, maybe a Bloodborne Remaster will come out someday with corrected Latin lyrics? I'm in the dreaming world... Thank you for watching the video :) I show the official text (what you'd call official translation) at the end.
@@AntoniusTertiusThe legend responded. Japanese composers making up lyrics for a game soundtrack date back to as far as Chrono Trigger, for Super Nintendo (as far as I know). When writing "Schala's Theme" on Chrono Trigger's soundtrack, Yasunori Matsuda wrote it in a made up language, which many STILL think is Latin, when they look it up lol. Others think it is in Japanese 😂 Bloodborne is one of the best soundtracks in gaming!
How I adore Chrono Trigger and its soundtrack! I arranged all Chrono Trigger tracks for piano (only person in the world to do that), I published the album on my channel if you're interested :) About Bloodborne lyrics, the composer Ryan Amon explained to me how the lyrics were made: ua-cam.com/video/1aWa0vIO770/v-deo.html
@@AntoniusTertius It is hard not to adore Chrono Trigger Soundtrack lol. It is among being one of the G.O.A.T. considering the technology used to get that type of sound quality on the SNES😊 I have been aware of how these lyrics were produced, and think the method used is perfection, for Lovecraftian horror! Countless modern hit songs in English are full of terrible grammar with lyrics that are a system of random words, random phrases etc, usually just to rhyme, or sound good. It conveys a general message while sounding great, as music should. These Bloodborne masterpieces are no different lol. @@lunamaria1048 Indeed! CT OST is among the best ever! I released a video about how the Bloodborne lyrics were created by the way. Actually, I contact people who worked in Souls games ,like Bloodborne and Elden Ring, to get both the lyrics and the translations. "peer into the mystery and the beast will peer into you"
With the lore context, that line is absolutely chilling.
What is the mystery and beast mentioned here ? Is it the old blood? Is it laurence ? Or something else ?
@@_RZL13_ The old blood.
who's lore? Nietzsche's or laurence?
@@dontstop2517 Laurence's. It borrows philisophically from Nietchze, clearly. It's neat to see it applied so literally in Bloodborne.
Bloodborne’s ability to send a chill up the spine will always set it apart for me. The elderitch lovecraftian horror is done so well 😊
I love how at the start he's praising the blood, talking about how holy and awesome it is, but then he realises and start's trying to warn us and others of its dangers, but then he starts praising it again, signifying that he's now become a beast.
He didn’t fear the old blood
I swear this is precisely backwards
And not to mention all the stuff that happened in the Research Hall)
In regards to how the lyrics fit into his story, look at the beginning of the track. I believe!"
I find it fitting that his punishment in the hunter's nightmare is him forgetting his purpose despite having been brought his own skull (read Laurence's skull description for lore here).
The music producers used game texts to make the lyrics: ua-cam.com/video/1aWa0vIO770/v-deo.html
the fact that bloodborne is the only one in the genre with fully dedicated latin osts makes this game even more of a masterpiece
It really was until Sony rearranged the ost of Demon's Souls for its remake: ua-cam.com/video/AaOMkGK0WlQ/v-deo.html
Anyway,Bloodborne ost is still the best :)
It's barely Latin with how insanely flawed it is tbh. Lots of filling in the gaps with headcanon to make the lyrics make some semblance of sense from Antonius sorta made it comprehensible.
is it normal for a beast to crawl out of a pool of blood in the floor when i try to sing along with it?
Only if you are a longtime member of the Organization XIII ;)
That ain’t no Beast, that’s Luminary Mohg
bro, did you give the blood to your cat? 😳

"All be warned; the blood is the nectar of blasphemy, though that is all we can rely on."
I think people characterise Laurence wrong.
Exactly he wanted to bring evolution to humanity trhough the blood but failed exactly because he could'nt keep away the beast that he became

After that I managed to contact one of the composers, have you watched my video about the composer's explanation?
I just changed a couple words here and there and used this video and google to make this.
just for fun :)
My rewritten English lyrics (not a translation)
If you learned the strength of the sacrament,
you shall be given the holy blood.
The gift that is the secret holy blood.
Attain humanity,
its brilliance, lost.
By the holy blood.
To all be aware,
the blood is the nectar of blasphemy!
Gaze into the mystery,
The beast will gaze back.
To all be aware,
the blood is the nectar of blasphemy!
However, it is all I believe in…
However, it is all to believe in!
Unknown
fear,
unknown
blood,
fear.
Fear the blood well.
To all be aware of
this holy blood!
Gaze into the mystery.
However, it is all to believe in…
Believe!
Ooh this is pretty good! This tells Laurence's story a bit better. I also love that you changed 'ignorant one' to 'unknown' as an adjective.
I especially like the sentence going something like "if you gaze into the mystery, the beast also gazes into you."
Thank you for these videos!
Thank you for your kind words :)
As I don't know that much about Bloodborne story/lore, I let the lore explanation with Vaati,Ziostorm and Hadesplay.

Very glad I could help with the gameplay
Thank you very much Caio :D Your gameplay footage helped the video be this incredible!

You are most welcome! Thank you for being here ^^
I love how oddly positive this song seems, against the rest of bloodborne's vibe.
Thank you for your kind comment :)
I also love how oddly positive this song ends. I'm not a lore guy either. I simply received the lyrics and lore texts from a music producer who worked in Bloodborne. I leave the lore analysis to Vaati XD

I love you , what a great explanation
@@embodiedface Thank you very much! Normally people overlook it, mainly in Elden Ring lyrics videos of mine

Thank you so much man haha, good job keep it up
You're welcome ^^ I will keep investigating the Bloodborne lyrics for a while.
since we are on bloodborne again, what is (in your opinon) the correct translation of "fear the old blood"?
Verere/timere/metuere sanguinem antiquum/veterem
Asking for friend before it becomes a tattoo
Fear in the imperative, second-person singular: Time or metue or verere; then old would be either veterem or antiquum or priscum; blood, sanguinem; and now you have to choose. Time/metue/verere sanguinem veterem/antiquum/priscum :)

Muitíssimo obrigado pelas palavras ^^
Disjointed and incorrect Latin phrases can also be found in the remake of Demon's Souls soundtrack, which was produced by Sony as well.

i like how the song has its tone match the lyrics, so even if you dont understand the lyrics, you will know the meaning of the song. And it changes from a solemn warning to some forbidden arcane, to sorrowful desperation as that forbidden arcane is the only thing that can save them for as long as it could before exacting its unimaginable price
The same goes for Ludwig where it initially started from disgust at the sight of a horrid beast so ugly to behold, to a man's beautiful cry of defiance to his fate by regaining his humanity and be given his final glory before an honorable death

Japanese composers making up lyrics for a game soundtrack date back to as far as Chrono Trigger, for Super Nintendo (as far as I know).
