Most Japanese bands don't give a shit about our genre definitions. They just kick ass. This was one of the two videos (along with "Shadowmaker") that broke Lovebites to a global audience. Jaws dropped around the world. The crazy thing is they do this live and completely nail it.
I know the bands don't care about genre definition, it's typically their crazy ass fans. Read the comments on a few of these female Japanese bands' videos, the fans are often unreasonable. Pretty crazy stuff. Be well, Hiawatha.
LOVEBITES - When Destinies Align lyrics: It is not just some coincidence It is nothing like reality It is something very precious that not everyone can get It is like a dream, a turn of fate It is what the each of us can bring It’s a chemical reaction, only possible by these pieces Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on It is failure that has brought us here It is made of our blood and tears It is something very strong that keeps us moving on and on It is love, ambition, destiny It is why we’ve been through everything It is what becomes the reason, shining bright into tomorrow Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami)
Great reaction! The live version of this song is amazing, with both MIYAKO and MIDORI shredding!! And to see it live!! They are the real deal!! Metal Goddesses 🐺🔥
one of my fave Lovebites song.this song has everything but...man....those quitar solos.....these ladies are awesome.this band is great.love them so much.please check also the live version of this song
Awesome song to check out. This song is a rare example of not only a perfect power metal song but this is a god tier level song in music in general. This song was written by Miyako (guitarist with the dean guitar) If you loved the studio version you should really check out the live version of this song And to answer your question about the bass player, sadly yes this is the band Miho left last year. However the band decided to move forward and assure fans that its not the end for Lovebites and they will return in the coming future
Some more different from Lovebites? Chopin etude+Swan song. The video black and white is about an old all female Samurai company, really existed during Feudal Japan. There is a live version of this on Tokio Show 2021. Thanks.
Lovebites actually claims the genre of Heavy Metal. "We are Lovebites and we play Heavy Metal!" I agree that some guitarists only care about shredding and therefore don't put a lot of or any thought into song structure. I have no interest in shredding just for the sake of shredding, either. When a person can shred and there is musical structure it is a beautiful thing. Yes, these women are highly technical and they know their kits. Put these women up against any other musicians any day and they will prevail. They are also great song writers who come up with great hooks, melodies, rhythms, and lyrics. Arrangements are also so well done. They don't have one 'good' song in their catalogue. They don't write and compose 'just good' songs. They write great songs and masterpieces. Those pauses or stops give their music dramatic touches and flair. What can one say about Haruna as a drummer. Wow. "The little big engine of the band." "The little beast behind the drumkit." She is just amazing. In the last image, they didn't do her any favors. Haruna is the least tall in the band and Miyako is the 'giant' of the band. Haruna was placed at the lowest point and Miyako the highest point on that horizon. I was thinking I had seen Haruna was about 4'9" and Miyako was 5'2" or 5'3". Not sure, but I think that is right. No matter. This band could slay giants with their talent.
Great, great song. They have performed it live a few times and the solos are epic to watch, no doubt. These ladies simply know how to write great songs and elevate them with their musicianship. Are they the most profound band in the world? No. But it's not like they are trying to be. It's not a knock against them. They perfectly execute what they set out to do and that's what matters. It's all done with thought, care and precision. Nothing is cookie-cutter with Lovebites. I've said it before, but I enjoy their music just as much as I enjoy my prog metal. As for the claim that all these girl bands dabble in different genres I've always found that a bit funny. Sure, they might play different subgenres of let's say metal (Lovebites being one example), but they are usually defined by a general genre. Of course they might incorporate different genre influences, but isn't that's the case for like almost every single band on earth lol? I think it's fans attempting to elevate their favourites at times. This is in no way meant as a knock against the bands in question. I just think that some of these claims can get a bit ridiculous at times. Gacharic Spin are arguably the hardest to pin down out of the somewhat popular girl bands from Japan that I'm familiar with at least.
Yeah......lovebites, like usual. They have all. They've got around 50 songs and none of them is bad. I'll be curious to see your reaction to their song called Addicted live from Five of a kind in Zepp Diversity Tokyo 2020.Enjoy it.
I've added it to the request list. Be patient, it's a long list. But, I promise that I will eventually get to tit. Be sure to Subscribe. Be well, and have an amazing day.
Yes, very sadly Miho, the bass payer has left Lovebites. For me one of the amazing things about Japanese bands is with music videos studio audio is used and sounds amazing but then ,more or less the same quality audio is bought to the live stage. Thinking back to some western metal bands from the 1970's, some of the live performances wee pretty dire. I accept that tape decks were used for backing and musicians fuddled on drugs, did not help back then. 🙂
Musicians still mess with drugs FAR too much, I'm sure. And audio quality then and now are vastly different. That has nothing to do with the band and everything to do with technology. The thing in your pocket is more powerful and more technologically advanced than the shit we used to use to launch rockets and space ships. It's pretty impressive to think about how far we've come. If we could now just figure out a way to instill gratitude, kindness and understanding in humans, we would grow as a society by leaps and bounds. Be well, Glynthepin (Hey! You're the "Break the Wall" guy). Have an amazing weekend.
@@ProjectEllsworthReacts Technology has advanced so much sine my School days. I remember the first digital watched being warn! What I feel upset about is the way music creation has become used for not much more than a background noise in video games. Yes, of course there are still some bands created by friends getting together and practising for months at a time to be able to play small gigs in their local area but as far as making commercial success, the music industry can make the big bucks out someone at home with a computer.
