- On Jan. 1 2022 Jenn Drummond, Todd Passey, Sam Hennessey, Seba Grau and Rob Smith climbed the French Route on Mt. Tyree, Antactica's second highest mountain. Sam, Seba, Rob and I guided Jenn on the mountains 8th ascent. Antarctic Logistics and Expeditions made it all happen.
We need to build a giant ski resort on Antartica!!! I could see it now… i wouldnt be amongst those who choose to ski… but id sure still go 😅😅😅

It would be really cold since it only get's dark once a year. I did get a chance to see see the eclipse in 2021. It was brief, but it got dark enough to see stars and planets. Check out the Video ua-cam.com/video/dzLNkpgiNys/v-deo.html

Do you plan on climbing the other continent’s second highest mountains? (K2,Ojos Del Salado,Mount Logan,Dykh-Tau,Mount Kenya & Mandala Peak.)
Ralf, I have climbed Logan. In fact I skied it this last May with Jenn Drummond. She was the client on Tyree. Jenn is now the first woman and second human to do all the Second Seven Summits. I will probably go do Sumatri (Manada) when Western Papua is safe enough to open. Right now that region is closed for everyone. Jenn did Townsend in Australia as the Second highest. Ojos doen't really interest me. And I am not going to travel to Russia anytime soon, so Dykh-Tau will have to wait. K2 just seems to have too many objective dangers that can't be mitigated. This makes K2 off my list at this point in my life. Maybe someday, but seems the mountains melting are raising this hazard not diminishing them. So the short answer to your question is, 'No I do not plan the climb the Second Seven.
@@ITCOGI do know that some geography classes in other countries do teach people that Ojos & Logan are on the same continent apparently.
