The majority of UA-cam vlogger's now I just get bored of watching as it's the same shit every video, but with Tom he's different, he's himself. I've been watching him for years and from that I know he's really spontaneous in a great way and always got something new up his sleeve, I love that 👌
So as a guy from Canada I'll tell you that this whole "needing a 4wd car to go through snow" is kind of irrelevant with the amount of snow you can actually get in England. I drive a 2wd car year round and I'm able to get anywhere I need to go just by simply having winter tires on.
Nobody in England buys winter tires, that's the problem.
100% he should have gotten Quattro but even if he has 2wd and good snow tires he should be fine
Most people in the stockholm area use 2wd cars the entire year. You simply need to put on some winter tires and your still fairly ok with normal tires when there is just a little snow like in this video. So Tom could probably drive his cars out to get winter tires installed and be ok.
You can tell how close and affectionate you guys are with each other. It's refreshing to see these days and in this generation. I feel bad that most will never know a real relationship with a connection and chemistry.
I happy for Tom doing what he feels he needs right now but I did love the videos with Tom and Lydia!! Genuinely hope they are both happy in their new adventures. But I do miss seeing Lydia - she was gorgeous and made me laugh too! Sending you both love 💕

I used to drive my 2016 tt as a daily driver in Minnesota it snows more here than that your tt is fine
come to Australia for crissy and you'll have no worries about snow. Tires might melt to the driveway tho.

This was a great vlog. New vid quality and snow! haha. I don't think my comp can see it fully but it looks great. If you do make snow angels in the back, Just throw on your snow gear! That way you don't get soaked through! You two enjoy the snow for me!

Winter tyres will be able to deal with the angle no issue, just do it slowly. Even if it doesn't, just get some chains. They also make these new zip tie like things that attach to your tyres and come over easily. But even so, the car should be Awd? It's a Quattro isn't it?
Winter tyres are more useful than 4WD! expensive for the TT but just get a cheap fiesta and stick some steelies on it with winter tyres and you will have no issues.

Tom, as my good friend always says, a 4 wheel drive will get you on the road but not kept you on the road. So basically, you need snow tires if u want to be able to drive well on the roads

Isn't your TT Quattro? If not it's fwd and proper winter tyres will make a big difference! Remember when you went to that LA mountain resort with the M3 E90, with summer tyres and chains in much deeper snow? Just put winter tyres, it'll help.😊😝

of course you can get around with just a 2-wheel drive car, I driven with a BMW 316i for 2 years now and it's a rear-wheel drive... you just gotta learn the car inside out and how it handles and just be careful. also I live in northern Finland so it snow a LOT here

That's because he's rendered in 1080p and UA-cam has lowered the bit rate. .
If he wants better quality 1080p, Tom has to upload at 4k so the bitrate will stay high and people who watch at 4k (even with a 1080p screen) will notice a quality difference

I'm sorry Tom, but you dont need a 4x4 vehicle for that kind of snow. I'm here in Norway with 15-25cm snow and we are in a 1999 Skoda Octavia 2 wheel drive and we get around no problem.

Tom, 4WD doesn't matter much when driving in snow. A 2WD car with winter tires is better than a 4WD with summer or all-season tires.

How about snow tires ?
You should really look into getting a Jeep Wrangler unlimited. Especially if you and Lydia are really serious. It’s very spacious and you can go anywhere you want and you can get it pretty much customized how ever you want. I have a Jeep Cherokee trail hawk and I regret getting it over a wrangler.

I find this type of thing hilarious when places that never get snow get shut down because of like, half a centimetre of snow. Meanwhile in Canada, rocking with the -25 Celsius 15cm of snow average January day.

Tom I recommend buying cat litter and keep I in your vehicles bc if you get stuck in ice or snow you can put some kitty litter under and around the tires

If you want a beast of a vehicle, try out the RAM 1500 Laramie. Leather interior, 4x4, and it’s a beast. Got the 5.7 hemi with the 8 speed transmission and brand new and customized comes to about 50k which would be cheaper than the rover, but if not I’d go with a wrangler
But if the Land Rover got dinged I could be fixed with a hammer where as a ram not so much, I have both n love both
