Ritchie Valen's LA BAMBA !! I've simplified the key sign - I'm playing it a 4th higher than the original. The original key just doesn't lend itself to trumpet very well... either too high or too low. Hope you like this "just for fun" arrangement.
This piece was my selection... hope you don't mind. Fun tune.

Sam, thank you for your kind words. Every instrument has its challenges... just keep at it.
When I was young, and my parents were nice enough to get me a trumpet (that cost a lot of money) they had one "rule": I had to play every day, and I got to take ONE day off per week. As a result, I got pretty good!
Play every day, even if it's only for a few minutes.
The more you play, the better you will get, and the more FUN you will have. The more fun you have, the more you'll want to play! This is they "cycle" you want to establish.
The less you play, the harder it will SEEM, and you won't have nearly as much fun. So best wishes to you, and go play your trumpet right now for 5 minutes!

"Tequila" would be a good match with this tune.

So much fun!! Stupid question, when you played the "guitar solo, the notation looked like sixteeth note "Cs" however in the video it looked like you were trilling C to C# am I reading that right?
Trilling is a good analogy, but it’s not C#. It’s a “false fingering” for C. Valves 2&3 can sound just like C.

Ruben, I'm not sure I understand your question. If you're referring to the links at musicnotes.com, if you purchase a piece of music there, you will receive a high quality pdf, that you can then print at home. It's not my understanding that you have to "add extra money" for the PDF.

What Mouthpiece are you using if you don’t mind my asking. I’ve been playing for 13 years, I’m just looking for a new mouthpiece to use
Brett, I use a Bach 3E mouthpiece. I think Bach recommends it as a piccolo trumpet mouthpiece. I have had some success over the past 2 years building my range and think the mouthpiece has helped in that regard. However, that being said, recommending a mouthpiece is a challenge - everyone’s embouchure may be slightly different. Same with lip density snd teeth structure.
See if there’s a player or store in your area that will let you try out a mouthpiece. Try several before deciding.

I have been having difficulty reaching 3 line octaves since I haven’t been playing the past few years. “ Only a couple times a month” I assumed it would be an embouchure problem
