The OT has always felt manipulated to me. It carries no message except, "good luck, if it exists." I sense Revelation is from the same root, to make them seem kin. ✌🏼
Well kinda, “In Galatians 4:21-31, Paul says that this story is being "interpreted allegorically. He sees Hagar and Sarah as representing two covenants - Hagar representing the covenant of the law given at Mount Sinai, and Sarah representing the covenant of grace and freedom given through Christ. So based on the text, it seems Paul did not believe the story of Hagar and Sarah's sons to be a purely historical account, but rather an allegory used to convey theological truths about the relationship between the old and new covenants. Not quite what Bill said… Paul was warning the Galatians that they court disaster if they turn from the Christian Gospel he had originally preached, to embrace a different gospel. Paul sees the Galatians falling into error, he is deeply concerned and even angry.
@@Gowiththewind53 well, i just think that most of the stuff in the OT never happened, and that they all misunderstood God (God told me that)... don't really know whether or not Paul was angry when he said it.
@elaineremains I agree 100%. Plus the authors misunderstood what today’s people would make out of it . The OT was a foundation myth for the formation of Judaism. And the NT is mostly Greek miss-appropriation from it.
@@Gowiththewind53 i think that's the BIG problem; how we take it today... i felt like saying that to God, when He told me that He doesn't get His feelings hurt when people misunderstand Him... i thought 'well WE are getting hurt!!'
Psalm 82 which Jesus quotes tells of a council of Gods plural..so Yaweh and Abba father are not the same..Yaweh never once spoke of a son whereas Jesus spoke often about his father.
Nice picture & good info again. Thanks fellas😊💙✌️🌔
Thank God for such Revelations. Today I am a gnostic Christian. What a blessing to know that God never committed these rotten acts.
