Pranav Swaroop cracks me up in the intro. With his facial expression and hand gestures, he seems to be like "I don't know what I'm doing exactly, how does this part go?"
these guys are pretty much unheard (which shouldnt be the case considering the immense musical talent they possess), finally you guys got the formula of prog right from the subcontinent, its like a breath of fresh air and im already a big fan!Keep up the good work and keep DJENTING as well as all the other forms youll incorporate!
hahaha..i agree. The ode to lord vishnu, the flute, the cultural dhoti and attire fusing southnindian shaiavaite, vaishnavaite & north indian vedic fashion, the aristocratic carnatic vocals, the death metal growls and krishna's quote from the gita as he takes the Absolute form for Parabrahman, purusha & death itself..seals the deal.. Indian culture done huge justice🙌
Have heard this close over and over again in the last year ... and never dropped a comment about how much I loved it ... but this is it ... thank you so much Project Mishram ... this song is LEGENDARY!!
Finally i found a band which serves justice to the modern era music... Congratulations to your incredible sounding team! Expecting more indian DJENT carnatic lit stuffs!! You guy's makes me headbang \m/
Konnakol is the originator of "odd time signatures" for their Carnatic music in India, bands like Tool and Tesseract and other technical bands and artists gets inspired by these people who've been using the art and technique a long time ago.
This used to be one of my spotify favourites, I used to think this was highly processed and sampled. One day I wanted to listen on UA-cam and holy shit these guys have performed this live and in a kurta-veshti! Mind-blown! Keep up the great work!
An absolutely fantastic song, and a phenomenal band, but I do wanna point out the band is merely miming to a backing track. At 1:19 look at the Drummer’s snare, and you’ll hear fills in the snare that he doesn’t play. The video is faked but I still love this band, keep up the fantastic fusion work!
Hey! It was meant to be mimed. Artists have the option of tracking live or miming at Kappa, and since we needed a video for TamasaT, for this song we went with miming.
But somehow it feels like they've dubbed the original track over the video, in a few sections you can see the drummer fill up with symbals but the audio's got a snare fill :p
You guy's really making some serious liberated music out there! I never a group of Brahmins marking NU metal stuffs like this & headbanging to heavy riffs! 🤘🏻🔥
"Sa Ni Da Ma.." Those are syllables to represent notes in musical scales (called Raagas) in carnatic music (which is the style of music being sung here). Think of them like the "Do Re Mi.." equivalents for Carnatic music.
Happiest drummer on earth spotted
This was 10 minutes of my life that was perfectly spent listening 👂

Tessract influence for sure :)
100% since the name of the band is TesseracT and the song's name is TamasaT
Pretty sure it was acle kahney that mastered the studio verion of this track for them
TesseracT, some Periphery, some Veil of Maya, and some Animals as Leaders for sure
@@ChaBawbe The band is called Project Mishram the song is called TamasaT

Does anyone know the Raga ...they are singing?
I am not sure what raga its, but to say in western theory, some parts are surely in the Dorian mode.
lol the drummer aint there in the description
Why the drummers name is not there
It is! Same as Mridangam (for he can do both)
Wwwwwwwwwwoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
What's he says in 6:51?

what kind of brutality is this!
I came here for the live version. It's not.
