difference is silent mode choses 3 random characters to be buffed at the start of every hour until 5am (they last 30 seconds, same character cant be buffed twice and silent buffs only end once their cycle is over) and at 5am everyone gets silent buff for rest of the night, eternal mode is basically everyone starts with their silent buffs at the start of the night.
