An Action Hero is not about Jayant or Bhoota or about action or comedy. It’s a comment on Media that how Media can make or destroy someone in Public eyes.
I honestly feel An Action Hero is full Entertainer and what you call Too Filmy is actually it is self aware of its storyline. Many scenes are hilarious and in theatre everything was laughing. Guys please understand movie making more better and than do movie review.

I rarely disagree with both of you but An Action Hero pleasantly surprised me. Yes, it is not a masterpiece as such but entertainment pura deti and the funny scenes are hilarious af.
Same is the case with Bhediya. It has its fair share of flaws but movie buri nahi thi. Pata nahi log internet pe kyun acchi original stories ki demand karte hai but it doesn't get the numbers when served.
I am afraid we might go back to remakes again. Only difference will be that the remakes would be of NON HINDI DUBBED movies!!

Indian audience have double standards. They'll keep repeating those remake acquisitions and on the other hand won't support original and unique movies like qala, bhediya, an action hero, freddy, etc
Talking about some critics who watch and review every movie with a same and usual mindset for fun's sake, they should recommend movies if they are capable of 👀
Action hero is perhaps the best meta movie of bollywood. It's a commentary over a hyper-masculine action hero genre of bollywood with no place of female actors in it.
Jaydeep represents us the audience who despite trolling and insulting the movies will still go and watch them over and over again. He just won't kill Ayushman. Even the action sequences and sound are so representative of action movies.
Please bring back honest review nostalgia series

Disagree with both of you, probably for the first time. It was such a beautiful meta comedy and on top of that it had some great commentary on entitled audience, Star culture, TRP hungry news media. Khurana does not fit the role perfectly and action is filmy I get that, but I think they were going for filmy. Everything else was so good that the filmy action can be ignored.
I think he fits the role perfectly because he played the role of a flamboyant actor really well. And action cannot be termed as filmy because he was playing a movie star in the movie and that's how unrealistic action sequences are in movies, in general. So it had to be done that way. Also, i liked that fact that they didn't behave like protagonists or antagonists in different movie where they are completely expressionless as if they don't get hurt at all. Here you could see Ayushman and Jaideep emoting pain or hurt when they fight or jump.
@@maaan-see_here I was talking about the action he does in real life when he is escaping. It was as unrealistic as in a movie and they were probably going for that feel. I personally did not enjoy that choice, but that's only me, also the action choreography was horrendous. However, I enjoyed rest of it so much that I don't care about action
