Growing up in Nigeria, Ola Tony-Obot was told she would not receive an education as she was a girl. Ola went on to graduate with a first-class degree in BSc (Hons) Health and Social Care and stayed on to do her Masters in Social Work. She now works at Together for Children, here in Sunderland.

I’m looking to study a masters in Social Work but I’m not certain if my first degree (LLB) and PGD (Service Management) from the Universe of Buckingham qualifies me for a masters in Social Work.

We require applicants to hold a minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent, or a 2:2 or equivalent plus a relevant postgraduate award.

I really wish this will be me in the next 4-5 years, as I applied for BA.social work and I am waiting for my interview, so nervous cos this is my first interview ever so I don't know what to expect, I really wish I could chat with students in the field to know more about the course and what to expect.
