after it sprouts and you dry the grain, roll it around in a colander to get sprouts off. Then get you a small hand grain mill and grind your malted corn. just a thought as that is what i do releases sugars easier for yeast to get to.
Thank you so much for your comment. I haven't quit I just got involved with a project that got super complicated and drawn out. But I am finally getting done with it shortly. I am about to start a new run shortly where I will be filming it. I am currently editing a video now but it will be a little different to the normal ones. Will hopefully gave it out in next couple of weeks. Thanks again I really appreciate your feedback
A thermometer would be useful in your boiler. This way you can follow the heating process a bit. Can't you use Teflon instead of flour with water? Nice video nonetheless, thx!
Hi Yerry. Yeah with the baby still for the videos, I try keep it as old school and as basic as possible. The flour works nicely on the copper and it's really easy to remove once the run is done. And it also makes a good alternative when Teflon seals aren't available. I've reminded friends to use the flour when they called in a panic with a leak at a join and flour has always come to the rescue 😁 Thanks again for the feedback boet, I really appreciate it.
Adding the 2 liters of water to keep your yeast alive after you syphon out your mash is probably the most important part because it keeps the yeast going with the fresh water in the meantime
Hi yes you should be good for between 7 or 8 generations till you notice that the flavour starts to become to weak then you will know you are at the end. I always keep the size of my backseat to be as close to 25% of what I need to add to my fermentation drum to get it fill again. And I pretty much always use my backseat to devolve my sugar. Sounds like you are doing fine though. Let me know if there is anything else you need help on and remember to enjoy yourself
Sorry to bother you again and again 🙏 But one last. So sir it means that I only have to put sugar for second till 6/7 or till it test good. I mean no corn and no yeast till 6 to 7 run?
Hey Garry. Over the years using this recipe - can honestly say I've never needed to use yeast nutrient on any of my Popcorn buckets. And at times we've had 10 to 15 buckets of popcorn mash on the go.
I'm looking forward to seeing what you have for us next. Thanks
Fantastic mate - I have never heard this process explained so well before - thanks from Australia.
Thank you so much for the awesome feedback. I appreciate it greatly.

Why did you quit making videos on your distilling projects! I found them all very good and want more. 😊I have learned a lot from them.

When I add my backset to 2 nd generation fermentation with sugar , do I stir it all up corn and all or leave corn alone ? Thanks
I find when I pour it in that it disturbs the corn and the yeast up enough to get everything going again

Sir what if I want to continue for third and fourth batch and so on?
Do I only need to put sugar or ingredients ratio will be different?
Please reply.
