Just love it when You’s two are together. Always such good funny conversations and great stories. Looked like an amazing place to just chill with great views. Thanks for sharing and just always being the Callen we love.
You know, I grew up with uncles that had cottages in Northern Ontario, and boats, and, it was the fact we were out of the city, had a campfire, fished, and saw the stars at night. Noise and rowdiness was never welcomed back then, people respected their neighbours. But, for being close to Toronto/Hamilton, it's a pretty sweet deal at this point.
Beautiful lake you folks are on and close to where you live, I agree with Kristine about the gas prices , pretty sad that is why I have not gone anywhere as yet and sure feel the sadness in me . I loved your camp spot yes nice when no one is around but you do what you have to to enjoy the outdoors
Hey thx for the videos. Ive been researching canoes for a year now and I dont know which one to get it seems like I will need three canoes minimum lol. But I can only afford one good one. If you could only have one canoe (I know, the actual horror) which would it be and why? Thx again!
Thank you for the video an the review of the site. I was wondering how they were as I know that area is an issue with people mis-using it. The problem as I see it is as it is crownland not many people know that is is a managed area. I was posted here from BC so when I started looking for crownland to camp, fish and hunt using the province's crownland website it does not tell you it is a managed area. It was only through luck that I found the area's website (North Frontenac Parklands) that notified me of the need to buy permits even to drive on the roads. When I phoned to talk to them, three years ago now, they told me to be careful as there was break-ins on parked vehicles. Its funny that you mentioned boat traffic as I noticed a lot of ATV's, while it is an ATV area they tend to push a lot of bush off the trails which disturbs the wildlife. I really think that the province should look at regulating the ATV's during known breeding seasons. Anyways thanks again for the great video.
Love the Video,,I wish they would do this for the Wanapitei Provincial park and surrounding crown land north of Capreol Ont,,, people set up for the summer making it impossible to get a spot,,,
7:34 Kevin : part of the North Kawartha Highlands Parklands Kristine: mmhmm 🤣 never been on Big Gull but camped on most of the northern lakes. Round Schooner is really nice, huge cliffs, no cottages
just got back from a quick trip last weekend saturday night was worst night I have ever spent in a tent it was so humid and hot. The fishing was good and the camp site was free and very very quite only saw two other people. We were about a ten min ride from the lake which was nuts saturday night with jet skis and a couple of hot rod jet boats not a place for the canoe so we got a six pack of PBR and relaxed and watch the stars
Great video Kevin. Awesome looking campsite. The cost of fuel is limiting traveling for sure. Just to get out for a few days in the backcountry with limited costs is well worth it. Thanks for taking us along with you both. Have a great paddling season. Cheers
Yep, Yep, way to go Kev. All the best and hopefully one of these days you will follow your nose over to my channel and check out how I get into a bit of trouble while following my nose.🍁🦫
Great video. Enjoyed spending time with you

I talked to the warden when he came by. There still is the problem, but not as big of an issue that it once was.
you guys rock hard core :) thanks :)
:)
Recommend you try Long/Round Schooner in North Frontenac Parklands. A real gem of a spot
It's on my list for sure.

It's a double edge sword I guess. They needed it in this area though. It's too close to major urban areas.
Non portage trips can be a lot of fun with great food!
It was a good one.
When are we gonna see a Kevin Callan mixed tape? You get the best music. I'd pay for a compilation album...
Thanks. I enjoy choosing the music for the videos.
@@TheHappyCamper Well, you have good taste - and they're well placed in the videos. Perhaps the artists would be amenable to the idea...?

Glad you got out. This summer has been a hot one. I found lots of the bass were wormy.
Where did you find the instant mash
