In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating a straight pour with satin enamels in a limited palette. In video (535) I used metallics to show the difference in the types of cells they create. Humm.. I was thinking about how to keep more separation between the blue & yellow while still allowing them to churn in the cup... & I had a thought (disclaimer: I I'm new to fluid art so I honestly don't know it the following makes sense but here goes):
Maybe use one of those double cups to pour yellow surrounded by a lil bit of white into the blue cup. That way, there will be at least some separation between yellow & blue. It would be a small amount of white encircling the yellow so maybe more of the there would be less green in the end.
Not sure it it would reduce the green.
That said, I personally love how this one turned out.

If you're still frustrated by the amount of green, it might be worth trying one of the techniques which use thicker paint, so that the colours remain more distinct. That's probably not what you want, though, since you love love love your boulder cells, and they need thinner paint. But a flower pour could be very nice, yes?
