Imo the "falling asleep" part looked really promising. If they put more effort into that and took more time to build up the tension and actually told you what the hell you're supposed to do, this would be a really cool fnaf-style game. Alas, the devs give you the option to skip arguably the most interesting part of the game and instead have you wandering aimlessly and throw generic chase sequences at you, while making you follow a story with characters you never see or care about. Just feels like this game almost captured lightning in a bottle but dropped the bottle.
I could be totally off here, but i feel like I vaguely remember seeing a game like this a while ago, but it was only the dream parts. Assuming that was an unfinished version of this, maybe that was the main focus for the dev and they ended up adding a much better part inadvertently. Again tho, emphasis on "vaguely remember"
@@MarzaButTube yeah i remember that to. it's very likely that they wanted to step away from freaky fazbear and "do their own thing" unfortunately they ended of like a DnD DM that spends 90 percent of the prep-time on world-building and starts drooling when asked how to implement the party into said world. it's a typical case of the creator being more invested than we are and instead of writing a book they create a game
The walking parts of this game give me heavy INFRA vibes, makes me wonder what it would've been like if they got rid of the enemies chasing you around all the time and instead spent time actually building tension.

A case study in “It could have been great!”

I think the option is there for people who are so bad they can’t beat the traditional fnaf part.
