My child just arrived at the airport and there is no one from the school to pick her up to get to the campus. I think the entire process of students arriving at the airport is not clear.
@@MarabouKreyol She’s a big kid (young adult) and will live in Tokyo. It’s very normal to figure out how to get from the airport to where you’re going. It would be more unusual for the school to organise that. TUJ is a college, not a summer camp.
I begin my study at TUJ this August and I will be arriving a week before my orientation. Are we allowed to move into the dorm before orientation day? If not, how soon after?
I don't think so. There is a specific moving in day, and I'm pretty sure it's the night before orientation. Message OSS to be sure! It should be in the emails.
@Niyon I am also starting this August. In the email they sent me it says that we are allowed to move in the day before orientation starts. I believe that is August 21st.
If my flight arrives at night on the day that I’m allowed to move into the dorms, will that be an issue? I just wanna make sure that I don’t get lost and it’s night time lol.
You might not have a big entourage to greet you, but as long as you follow the directions of the OSS coordinator, have the address with you, and have a number for the house manager- you should be fine! I did this as well, and moved in at night by myself so you should be fine.
