Im lucky enough to own an E90 M3, best sounding M3 hands down. The high reving S65 is a thrill to drive and puts a smile on your face every time you go past 3000 rpm.
@@Dranzell You think the pb is from the dragy gps? I'm not sure about that...it seems to work pretty well everytime. Maybe the speedo is not really accurate.
@@Saif0412 it still shows it as 18.1 l/100km (since last refill most likely). For a V8 that's still pretty good considering at least part of it was driven like it was.

Am I minority to be of the view that "overhyped" AMG models with zillion of turbochargers (except the SLR McLaren which is cool and unique on its own) will never be as cool as high-revving n/a vehicles such as RS4/RS5 B8 or E92 M3? These are so much more enjoyable, just like this footage [=
@@malkogenji7417 it's indeed a n/a drivetrain, no doubt but it doesn't rev up to more than 7100 rpm which makes it for me just like all the rest of the turbocharged V8's. Still it's an solid piece of a sports vehicle but it won't be that special like the mentioned Audi and Bimmer - at least for me
@@hubertsolecki0909 AMG favoured displacement and torque over peak power and revs... makes sense in such a heavy car. Unfortunately the E9X M3 and B8 RS4/RS5 are quite sluggish at lower speeds, due to the lack of low end torque combined with their weight.

Lime Rock Park was a limited run edition for the US market only, but was essentially just the competition package with a few additional cosmetic bits. The GTS is a whole different kettle of fish, with some serious changes including stroked 4.4L S65.

Usually bmw speedometer is only ~5% deviation with the actual speed
guys dont be so triggered, every car have 5-10% more optimistic speedo than real gps speed

The induction sound is what really makes this car so great. Love it alot more than the also great sounding decatted 6.3 AMG I had before.

Short shifted 3rd, maybe a better 100-200 time could be achieved with perfect shifting.
They do multiple runs before they actually start recording these videos to get the best time
Pull in 4th gear saves a lot of time
