I lost my momma when I was 17. I was a momma’s boy through and through. She gave everything she could for our family and other families in need too. She deserved more time. ❤️ She deserved to see her grand babies
I grew up with very little fatherly presence, with my family refusing my father time with me, but I a lot of moms who provided me with more than I could ever ask for.
My great-grandmother often sneaked me away, meeting my dad in secret just so he could have a glimpse of me.
My aunts cared for me as if I were their own, especially my mom's little sister.
My grandmother tried her best not to repeat the mistakes she had in raising my mom and her siblings, pulling back from the strict and hovering nature that led to a lot of bad decisions (they always reassured me that keeping me was not one of those mistakes, tho I often doubted as a child).
And my mother, my sweet poor mother who went through so much, and deserves to have a happy life after everything our family put her through.
Even when the world turned her back on her, she forgave her parents, forgave my dad, her siblings, and all those. She raised me as best she could, even living far from me just to find a good enough job to make sure I want for nothing, falling into debt.
I thank God, and whatever else is out there, for making her my mom. If I had to reincarnate, I can only pray it's into a family with her in it.

Lovely seeing all these mums and daughters loving eachother. I know my mum loves me but she never told me until i told her one day. But bc she has issues with her own mum, they carried into our relationship. Now the way she feels about her mother, i feel about her. She displaced me with a daughter in law. Once my brothers gf came into our lives years ago, she took my place. She stole it. And she did it purposefully. She was mean to me, tried to put my own family members against me, but for all her wrongdoing, she can never do wrong in my mums eyes and my mum will always defend her in every way.They spend all their time together, if theyre not together, they are texting constantly which is a way of her keeping that control. Ive had it all out with my mother before but she refuses to see it and told me most daughters move away. As an adult now in my 30s i realised my mother has always been emotionally unavailable. If i have a daughter, i will learn from the hurt my mother caused me and not reject my daughter the way i was rejected

My mom always had been my hero, I always wanted to be strong like her, to look like her (she was beautiful, stunning, always well dressed).
I will always remember this time when she told me to stop biting my fingernails because girls'hands with bitten fingernails were ugly. I so so wanted to be as beautiful as her that I stopped biting my fingernails from this day on.
Probably not the best way to handle the problem, but it worked, I am now 38 and I've never bitten my fingernails ever again.
My mother tried to protect me from every danger, when I was young, except the one danger that was living in our home... My stepfather.
I would never understand why she never stopped him when he was hitting me for absolutely no reason...
Maybe she was too afraid ? Maybe she was too proud to recognize her weakeness...
She was killed by this SOTB after my 18th birthday. Thankfully she had the time to teach me everything I needed to survive through this tough world...

At the trial, I was the only one knowing the true about how we lived, the true about this SOTB (people outside thought he was a nice little lamb... while at home he was the devil !). I was the only one who was able to stand for her ! And that is what I've done.
After my mom's death I promised to make her proud.
I get my senior high school degree, I went to Law school... Now I am a lawyer who helps people, I am proud of who I am, I hope mom is too... I am who I am thanks to her sacrifices, thanks to what she taught me, thanks to the legacy she gave me...
I choosed the light instead of darkness, while a lot of people going through hard times make wrong choices...
I think that the fact that I wanted to please my mom so much helped me...
Some of us don't have the chance to have, at least, one good parent... so they don't find motivation to be good person...
What if my mom hasn't been who she was, what if she had abused me as a little girl, maybe I wouldn't have the willing to be like her, to make her proud...
Life is hard, we all need to find a motivation.... The important is to find a motivation to be a good person, to choose the light, no matter what... We have to choose to be good person because there is enough bad thing happening all around the world.
