There was also the short-lived revival of Vin Scully's 1969-1970 NBC game show "It Takes Two" hosted by Dick Clark. Lasted only two and a half months on Family Channel from March 10 to May 30, 1997.
Didn't add it to the video because I didn't know what time it was shown. I did find out that The New Family Challenge did air on weekends in March, so that mystery was solved. The changeover kinda ruined a lot of future plans.
Family Challenge was on the air until September 7th, 1997. Shop til you drop and Shopping Spree were the only shows that were renewed with new episodes for the fall of 1997 that originated in the October 1996 block. STYD and SS both aired until Friday August 14th, 1998. The following Monday, The Family Channel became Fox Family.
October 1996 was the last year that game shows were aired on Family Channel long before Freeform came in. The early 1990’s when Family Channel had “Trivial Pursuit”, a game show version of a popular board game, and then “Name That Tune”, and a few good ones are great, except the “Play Break” segments which was shown during each commercial where people can call the phone number to play the game. There’s also the Interactive version of “Trivial Pursuit” where all contestants gives out the answers, and the others were eliminated before going into the main game. For the next look at the Game Show Schedules, how about a look at NBC in June 1991 where they had game shows, plus a sitcom called “Full House” and reruns of “Classic Concentration”.
I always thought Shopping Spree was great and had one of the most underrated end games in the genre; something that could be used in another show. I would really like to see more USA schedules, mostly the ones after acquiring PYL
I have a schedule suggestion. I'm not sure this can be done with great commentary, but let's see if we can do a NBC schedule from the 80's. You choose. Keep in mind if you can. Most of the audience for every NBC game show was completely canned. There was some studio audience, but the mojority of it was canned. I would like to see a schedule with great comintary for NBC's most Popular game shows.
I think instead of "Small Talk" and WTYHK in the 4 PM hour, I would have brought back "Masters of The Maze" (it was canceled in Sept 1995) and then at 4:30 PM have an All New Edition of "I'm Telling."
I remember watching game shows on the family channel when I was a kid shop until you drop and shopping spree still good family challenge it's ok the last two not so good.

@@GameShowGumbo IINM, it came on at 4:00PM.
The new shop till you drop was easily the best show on that block and in my book one of the best revivals in game show history
The goods were Shopping Spree, The New Shop 'Til You Drop and Family Challenge and all the rest were bad. But, it was still a good game show lineup.

I grew up coming home from school with Shop ‘til you Drop just ending and Shopping Spree ready to air. The rest is a blur.
Same for me. After Shopping Spree I changed the channel. Probably to Kids WB or something.
Home and Family is now on the Hallmark channel.
PAX TV's game show schedule during the summer of 2000 comes to mind.
The first Buzzr or Game Show Network Kids Zone Schedule please! I will let you decide which one and the year!
NBC 1987 springs to mind.
@10:14, we miss you Ray, you shouldn't have been let go of FF n 1993, you left us way to soon.

There’s at least two lineups that I want to see: ‘87 USA Network(Press Your Luck putting the network on the map) and ‘85 CBS
