- Hello all! Welcome to my first adult coloring tutorial/color along. Today will be a johanna basford coloring tutorial in small victories along with some adult coloring tips for beginners. Unfortunately I couldn't show every part of the process due to technical issues but I'll ensure I show every step in future colour alongs! definitely more color in shadows,, I have been a watercolor artist for almost 40 years .... another good choice is purple .. purple is a natural shadow color ... best of luck with your channel !

I loved the format of talking us through what you were doing and why - it’s so helpful for people who are wanting to color along with you and then try to apply your tips and methods in a different picture to see if we can create the same look on our own! Absolutely amazing first color along!! Also, thanks for showing us the pencil and color up close as well as leaving it on the screen! I am deaf, so if I am following along and forgot the color or missed you showing the pencil, I can just look on the screen rather than rewind the video to find what you’re using. (Also, I REALLY appreciate you enabling captions! Some people don’t and I am then not able to “watch” their videos) Anyway, I would love to see more videos like this for larger scale pictures as well as in other books from other artists! Thanks again for such a great video!!❤❤

Your personality makes it feel like we're friends just chillin and coloring together rather than you "teaching" how to do something. It's more like sharing thoughts & ideas with other people who love the same hobby. I do enjoy a "how to " when it comes to tricky items, too, and I feel like your personality is just right for this style channel. I prefer this style of video rather than just a color along. Not a big fan of music -quite often I have to mess with the volume too much to hear speaking, then not get blasted by music. I really love you sharing the tips and fails. I’ve come to absolutely love the video style “Coloring updates’ by coloredbyMaia. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.

Please do more! It's so hard to find many videos of actual coloring. So many product reviews, ect. I love your bright coloring style and have attempted rainbow clouds (fail!) And the multicolor leave on your pineapple. Love your format of narration, showing the color you use and how to get your color pallette to come together. I just love everything about your style and just you ❤️ more more more!!!

I absolutely love your channel style and that we get to see you, you are so pretty and I do loke you talking through your coloring process. I will watch color alongs set to music but I prefer the videos where the person is talking while coloring. Your pages are beautiful, I will be watching all of your videos

Keep as it is please, I need help as I so wanna colour and make it look like. Fabulous piece of art instead of scribble on a page lol… so happy I found you and the fact that your using cheaper pencils helps, as I have many brands but there are two brands that are very expensive I haven’t got and most colourists use them brands - I then feel intimidated and mess up as I try to do like I seen but my ability lacks
You can always expect a mixture of cheap and quality supplies from me 💕
I enjoyed the chatty video. I like it when people alternate between talking into the camera as well as the colouring in the page downwards. It breaks up the view.

I use a similar coloring technique as well which work great with my Prisma and black widows.
Amazing! I’m definitely keen to try out prismacolors so it’s good to know that I won’t have to change my technique ☺️
