As an "ultra distance runner" you have no idea how much I appreciate you. I've been looking for actual reviews of Salomon trail running shoes by women because it's always men who write the reviews. Even though you're using them for fashion, this was very helpful to me and I hope you review more shoes in this category.

Agree! I have heard that the soles don't hold up but I feel like the tread will wear down if you're wearing them on the street daily as opposed to wearing them on a trail. Overall a great buy.
I usually wear US women’s 6.5 in sneakers which is USUALLY a US men’s size 5 in other brands. I purchased a size men’s Salomon thinking it would be a women’s 6.5 equivalent, but the shoe label reads its a women’s 6 😢. Shoe fits good in length, but snug around my foot. I’m a little bummed thinking I purchased the wrong size.
It’s so hard to tell on the first try. I wore these to go hiking and can tell they’re a little big on me. Wearing them for fashion or casual days out hopefully will still be comfortable for you!
@digitalversicolor did the shoes and up working out for you? I’m also a W6.5 and was wondering if the M5 would actually be equivalent or go by their size chart

i think you said it wrong, on their website the men size 7 it equivalent to women size 8, not 8.5......
A mens size 7 is a 39, which is most closely equivalent to 8.5 US. I know because I purchase a lot of Zara pieces.
