Stevie Wonder (then known as Little Stevie Wonder) recorded his first #1 Hit when he was just 13 years old. He was a Blind Child Genius, and he never stopped making hits. Great song and a truly inspiring story about the kind of man you are. Thanks for sharing, Shawn. I want you to know that you are greatly appreciated.
I would call this a celebratory song. Stevie's harmonica chops are on another level. He is my all-time favorite musician, singer, performer, arranger, producer, songwriter. I saw him live a few years ago and it was an absolute spiritual experience.
Early Stevie is the best Stevie! xoxo Thank you. Check out My Cherie Amour. The extended version is wonderful, as is the extended version of I Was Made to Love Her. 💖🎇✨ua-cam.com/video/Q4H_pWQaa2I/v-deo.html
Your reactions to the genius of Stevie Wonder is touching. This was early "Little" Stevie Wonder. "Signed, Sealed and Delivered" is early and upbeat. . His evolution is amazing. PLEASE. "Ribbon in the Sky" and "All I Do" next¡
Stevie Wonder's 1960s catalog is so inspired, such fun, and vibrant music. It's undeniable in its ability to uplift the spirit in joy and celebration. If you want a slower jam by Stevie, you must react to My Cherie Amor, definitely one of his major hits.
Stevie is the harmonica player - one of the true geniuses of the chromatic (concert) harmonica. One of Stevie's other great songs of this era is Signed, Sealed, Delivered. Another Motown banger.
This song was done by a lot of different artists but somehow Stevie made this song the classic it is now. Listen to him doing his first hit "Fingertips Pt2", "Don't You Worry 'Bout A Thing", "Living For The City", "Overjoyed", "As", "If You Really Love Me", "Lately", "Master Blaster", "Higher Ground" and maybe about 20 or 30 others.
As a Detroiter, I have a special place in my heart for Motown music....the more you dig, Shawn, the more genius level songs you discover. i love all Stevie...."A Place in the Sun" is another fantastic early Stevie song that many reactors overlook. You will LOVE it!
My best girl got married to my best friend and he asked me to dee Jay the reception. This was the song I played for their first dance. You should of seen them cut a rug . Your doing good. Much love .
That was a harmonica that he played a lot in his younger years. He's a beast in the music world. He's the only artist to win album of the year 3 consecutive album releases. He's also won 18 Grammys, had to look that one up, 18! Loved what this song reminded you of, cheers.
Hey Shawn love listening to your reactions in detail. I am an aussie from Australia who spent her teen years in the 70's but listened to music in the 60's as well. I love the 60's 70's 80's and some 90's. You really need to listen to Stevies song "I was made to lover her" its also an oldie but a beautiful love song from his early years.
James Jamerson imorovising on bass was way ahead of his time with this song in 1968. Way more movement in the bass line than was common for a Motown song at that time. One of my favorites!
You know that it's vintage old Stevie when he busts out that harmonica. Can't tell you how many times I used to play this song over and over again back in the day. The b-side "There's a Place in the Sun" is pretty special too. Love your story and how you relate to this song. Such is the magic and wonder of great art. Pun intended! 👍
Awesome to see you step up and do all you can to be a responsible husband and father. That's what love is all about - loyal, patient , kind, selfless, dependable. So many things in our world have wreaked havoc on the family unit. No wonder so many kids are struggling.

A great Motown song from the best singer. 🎶🎶🎶😍👍
Thanks.. Stevie was (and IS) a true musical genius... love the harmonica... and also your reaction.. and look forward to more!
Huge fan of Wonder's music library. I'm believing he was 18...maybe 19 in 1967 when Stevie recorded his spectacular version of it...fabulous tune 🎤🎶🇨🇦
One of my favorite songs of Stevie’s. It’s just so joyous.

Stevie was brilliant during the late 60’s to the early 80’s. Tremendous output❤
1971 barely 17 first love and me parked outside the jewellery store this playing on the radio and accepting his proposal in Mexico City. Our song ❤

This brought back some memories man. Ty!
Shawn, you make me smile every time I get the opportunity to watch your videos. thank you for that. 🌸
.....and that master class in bass playing throughout the song! Jamerson improvising throughout the whole song, never repeating himself.

Makes you grin and cry at the same time.
Little Stevie Wonder master of the chromatic harmonica .

I have to agree with others on, Isn't She Lovely. I believe he wrote it for his daughter after her birth.
You can't listen this and not be happy.
