I had a police officer tell me he had a suspect act completely nromal and pass all the sobriety tests, only to get a breathalizer of 0.31. He was just such a heavy drinker for so long that his body grew an insane tolerance.

I would caution anyone about to dive into the rabbit hole of body cam videos. The candid nature can make their content more impactful; knowing that real lives were impacted can heighten emotional impact. The number of feel good stories uploaded online are few in number, negligible in comparison with those that infuriate, end in tragedy, or tarnish your opinion of humanity.

I am completly on the cops side lol they have to do more tests for more evidence to confirm he is drunk thats just normal and askimg for the passengers ID is also quite normal the cop can ask but the passenger can deny if the passenger denies then nothing happens but if they do then thats on them not the cop 😂 so yeah great cop
Also about the cop "saying nice" he dident atleast thats not what i heard i heard him say "really oh" or "really yikes" one of those 2 but it was not. NICE 😂 so yeah cop right 100%

My dad got arrested for a DUI, the police report is that he didn’t use a turn signal but his story is that he got so fucked up he got lost on his drive around the countryside, pissed in a field and then passed out in his idling car before waking up to the officer. My dad refused to take any of the tests there on the side of the road and was immediately arrested because the only way then was to draw blood at the hospital (at this point the bloodwork was just check how fucked up he was and how to proceed). Long story short, he lost his license, has a scheduled court hearing next month and because he’s a retired cop, all his old work buddies know of the DUI now. He likely also won’t get a license for a year as he refused the roadside testing.

I like how Alicia was talking about how nice they were being while the whole thing was filling me with more and more anxiety. XD Honestly, the more nice and calm the cop was being, the more it freaked me out. People in power shouldn’t be nice like that, I don’t trust that. Would much rather they just be straightforward and uncaring about the whole thing, much easier to handle. Heck, I can handle being yelled at a lot better than I can someone acting like this. This just makes me terrified.

    1. His registration was suspended
    2. His drivers license was suspended
    3. He lied about having his ID on him
    4. He already had 5 prior DUI charges on his record
All of this was (besides point 4) was addressed within the first minute of the bodycam. He was going to be taken in regardless. Given his prior history, it was clear he was drinking and driving and the officer knew this. The chat for the latter-half of the video had no idea what they were talking about and some of the things said sounded akin to conspiracy theories. Ex: "the cops are trained on instinct to cover their bodycam as much as possible".
I encourage you to watch more bodycams, especially more recent ones. Code Blue Cam's old videos do not give the same context that they do now. In his new ones, he mentions who the suspect is immediately and their prior history, so you don't have to speculate the entire video and wait till the end for it to be revealed who they were. I think a lot of the discussions you made and chat made in this video wouldn't have happened had you watched a newer bodycam video that had more context.

    TRIGGER WARNING ‼️
I grew up in Georgia. I am also white, there is a point to me bringing this up, my best friend growing up was black. Now most Americans know where this might be going, but keep reading…it gets better. I’d be driving and he would be in the passenger seat. We’d get pulled over and they’d ask for his driver’s license and not mine. When I’d ask why they needed his and not mine, they pulled us out of the car…HAND CUFFED MY FRIEND and asked me if I was okay. Mind you we were both 16. he was super calm about the situation . Sadly this was a VERY common occurrence in mid ‘00s. I started yelling at them that he didn’t do anything wrong and to let him go, which then prompted them to handcuff me and pin us to the ground. Since we were minors, they called our parents. That experience was haunting and followed me through my entire life. Even to this day in my 30s I don’t trust cops.

Also, just a little heads up, the tests are not a pass fail thing. Hell, they don’t even care if you complete the tasks. They’re looking for mannerisms, speech patterns, movements, ect. The tests are ways to gather evidence to make sure a charge will stick. Also, cops are not your friends. They have a job to do, and will do that job regardless of your feelings about their operations. It’s why the best response is to comply and press charges later once it’s over.

At the same time you have people who instantly side with the cops
I have a big feeling your little moral at the end there only applies to one side
Look going to Vietnam , a lot of soldiers did some horrible shit or know horrible shit was done and let it go( How are you gonna defend rape)
Even during WW2 and the subsequent Japanese occupation it was well known that US soldiers would often rape Japanese women - Hence why the Locals on Okinawa want the US base gone, They remember . So much for having moral superiority huh America
It was well known that US soldiers would raid homes for trophies (Quite a few Japanese artefacts in US museums were acquired this way )
On the other side, what could they do ? Report it to higher ups who ignore this in the first place?
So no the true moral is too not just blindly believe something
Do not blindly believe all cops are good because fact quite a lot are not, shit I should know here in the UK we have a massive cop issue currently with a lot of cops going down for sexual assault using there positions to engage in sexual assault, Hide it or intimate people into silence

I really don't think it's race advantage. I think it's culture. There is this type of guy who it is a good guy but does stupid things, and is popular and everyone knows him. The cop is probably thinking of his friend who acts the same way and thinking that he's just being stupid, and the familiarity to his homeboy rubs off. It's the same way when you meet someone from your hometown with the slang and dialect, and even if your responsibility is to remove him, or tell him off, you'll be nice because of that connection.

Unfortunately a lot of these body cam footage channels are very, very pro cop. I've seen them show footage of cops belittling and harassing victims of domestic violence, mostly male ones, and then the YT'er is talking about how the victim is 'obstructing justice'. I've seen them show cops that just instantly escalate to violence and throwing a person to the ground or out of their vehicle to the ground and justified it as 'obstructing justice' and making excuses for why the cops would feel 'threatened'. A lot of them are really bad and they do nothing but propagate police brutality and misconduct. Also some 'nice' cops aren't obviously nice like this one presents himself, but use that as a way to get you to fess up to things, lower your guard and let them get away with more than they are legally permitted to and the second they find anything or you, for example, refuse to allow them to search your home or vehicle they turn full tyrant on you. Cops are not your friends, they can be genuinely friendly, but at the end of the day most of the time they're looking to fill an arrest quota. That's it. And yes they do actually have arrest quotas in places.

I’ve seen tons of body cams of officers being to the point of being unreasonably reasonable where I might well have just tased the perp out of frustration alone. I don’t where you get ‘anti cop’ when you see someone criticizing bad cops XD

    This what I heard
"Thats my dad's ID he died"
    "It's your dad's ID?"
"Yeah I told you he ___ a test"
    "OH nice"
Sounds like he was saying nice to the 2nd statement of him passing the test... I can't hear what the guy says fully but I think the cop says nice as a reaction to his 2nd statement not so much the first one about his dad being dead... also Wisconsin is a stop and iD state so cop can legaly ask the passenger for ID

Why do american cops do these silly walk in a straigth line tests? Do they not know there exists devices that can measure alcohol in breath?

They are testing if the person is impaired. The breathalyzer can test blood alcohol level, but if you are found to be impaired by the field sobriety test the cop can compel you to go to the station to sleep or a hospital for treatment even if you have no alcohol in your system.
