Go easy on putting coffee grounds on soil (or even the coffee solution). I never had a huge amount of luck with those methods. I'd just stick to giving him commercial fertilizer (like 1-2x during the growth season) and more light.

dried coffee grounds are actually a good natural fertilizer for plants so yeah, go ahead and spice up zoinks with your coffee
