There all tinny harsh shrill and have heavy dsp trying to make them sound like something there not. It fills entire rooms with booming bass if you got your equalizer setting right and your speaker placed in the right spot (i.e a corner of a room.) I put mine on top of a Sony surround subwoofer cause that's angled towards the corner so when I plug in my xtreme 2 right there and start playing music it's almost like having a damn home theater system.
I wonder why they don't go with coaxial speakers, meaning the tweeter is in the middle of the driver. Then, they could probably do two 2-way speakers in the Charge, and maybe the Flip if they go with circular and not oval drivers.
So because the JBL Flip 6 has no microphone, if I am playing music on my phone through the speaker, and somebody rings my phone, will I know if a call is coming through if I'm not looking at my phone? Thanks!

i just searched it up and qualcomm, one of the major cpu producers for many phones, announced that in 2022 they will have their first lossless bluetooth-capable chip. that makes me think that since there currently isnt a phone even capable of lossless bluetooth sharing then they probably havent done it with the speakers yet either. really excited though, cant wait till 2022
The minimum volume is still too high and if i go further down it just drops to zero. Feels like it goes from 10% of volume to 0% in just one click. How can i solve this and get more intermediate controls, like 5% or 2 % volume? Thank you
If on android you can get a player app with preamp control in the EQ settings but it will only work with that app and thats about it. Nothing else you can do. Unless you have a rooted android i think then you can use system wide EQ.

Had one i have now got the charge 3 got it last summer it was an older model when i got it. it came out in 2016 its fantastic speaker not to much base like the charge 4 . 🇬🇧👍

I've owned 4 flips from 2 generations with a 5th in warranty limbo after only 3 years. after many years JBL is well aware of their charging problems yet did nothing to change it in the Flip_6. In this instance spending 5 times more may actually save you money. Boycott Samsung / JBL till they practice responsibility for our planet and purses by providing replacement parts rather than intentionally destroying our environment for another buck.
It has a tweeter, the small speaker that deals with the high frequencies. Makes them sound a lot clearer and leaves woofer to do the bass. In flip 5 and below they only have a woofer to try do everything and it sounds flat in comparison.

I got the Flip 5. Just good enough for music but for talkshows or vlogs it's just too bassy. No stereo separation, only mono output I guess.

JBL Bluetooth speakers range is riddled with Bluetooth connectivity issues that they just can seem to fix and then tries to say its your fault
Hopefully it sounds better than the flip 5, when I bought it I was really disappointed because my flip 4 sounds a million times better compared to it
