China produces some good and cheap ones too. I've found the quality of Indian fountain pens somewhat varying. Airmail and Wality aren't great, in my experience. Camlin is still a good and cheap brand. I'm told Kanwrite is good, but have never tried it.

I purchased my first Fountain Pen in Class 7. It costed about Rs. 10 or 20 that time. But, that pen really became cottony soft after long years of writing. I still remember I had that pen with me till Class 11. But, as I grew up, I started using ball point pens. And eventually, one day I lost that pen. I really miss that pen till now. I cannot mention how much soft it had become by writing for so many years. Not even Rs. 1000 pen can be compared to that pen. That was really wonderful.

My handwriting / penmanship has improved from trash to elegant ,i love fountain pen because we dont have to use any pressure and it is also an more long-lasting investment .My father used to write with an fountain pen it is very old as he stated that his father gave him his pen on the day he got a job ,I use fountain pen for journaling .I like Japanese fountain pen as their top end pens are very attractive and very smooth with good inkflow. My favourite ink is the pilot iroshizuku tsukishi

We must be thankful to today's pens. For less than 10 rupees we can get a working pen. Imagine the hassle our ancestors had to go through just to write something. The ink , filling , leaking of old fountain pens. Today they are much more refined. Thanks for the detailed video sir.

As a student , I use fountain lens. As he said , fountains are very customisable. I love flair pens. They make good pens and are a known brand. I use ink tanker . It has a barrel which carries around 2-3 times the ink of cartridges. But , I have never seen a ink barrel being sold separately. But you get 2 for each pen included with it. So awesome for exam-writing,note-writing etc …

If someone wants a fountain pen under 500, the best fountain pen I have ever seen is Platinum Preppy medium nib which I got for ₹350, You will get a cartridge with it, its coverter was too expoensive so I just refilled the cartridge with a syring using parker quink bottled ink.

Im a left handed writer and my handwriting is best with pilot v7,faber castel fountain pen and uniball deluxe fine. but with fountain pen i had many problems of smudging or ink in my hand but it is improved

Yes left handers struggle with smudge problems because of the ink the are using Parker quink Camlin inks smudge quickly however there are some inks that do not smudge at all

I wrote using Artex fountain pens ,then Montex and also at that time we had neither cartridges nor converters. Ink was directly poured into the pen. Camlin Ink.

In my opinion, fountain pens are a one time investment (if you use converters instead of cartridges) as unlike other pens, you don't need to buy refills. Just a bottle of ink is enough for the pen.
Oh and don't get me started on the combat perspective of them. These can be used to splurt ink onto your enemies.
