I believe he wanted to say "sleeping gown or drawers", a term my entire English family uses. They literally only say pajamas when they are making fun of us Americans. When you know the word pajamas and were raised saying "sleeping ____", likely picturing a pajama set in your head, all during a high speed game show someone might call it a suit. Literally everything a suit. While in a lot of languages especially European/Middle Eastern "sleeping suit" is the proper translation for their words for pajamas. I know english speaking Pakistanis who say sleeping suits and it's not weird.
Actually... In German, they call them "Schlafanzug" translation directly to Sleeping Suit....

Tan talked about this on Instagram stories. he talked about the shit he got, (really people??) and explained his mom, bless her, used a couple of incorrect words while she was raising her children in England, because she came to super young. English was second language so back in the day she was still learning some words. She used to say sleeping suit for a matching pajama! when the top and bottom were the same like a suit. He was saying how when you are in a speed show like this (I know the feeling 😅) your brain gets fried and you reverse to old terms like when you were a child because you are under pressure

Everybody is being so mean to Tan. My grandmother is from England and we are regularly visited/visit our English family. None of them have ever said pajamas unless they're mocking our american words/accents. All of my English family says "sleeping ____" whether it's a sleeping gown, sleeping drawers, etc.
Any high speed game show will make your brain say some of the sillist things, even when you know the word/answer.
I think suit just came out because he didn't want to get too specific of a word because he knew the word he was looking for existed. In his head he was probably picturing something like a onesie or two piece pajama set and that just makes you think suit because literally basically everything you wear is considered a suit. If you're naked it's a birthday suit. It's a universal word, stop giving him shit.
