3.5 correct but it was great solving it, thank you Mr. Ray the questions patterns are really useful and worth watching it 🙏
Well done! Thank you Maheshwar for watching and commenting!
Passed the exam today. Your explanations were surely helpful. Especially the video on icc and sequence of processes for each knowledge area
Thank you for watching and commenting!
I enjoy this sessions and can you do it more as your explanation are great
Thank you for watching and commenting! And sure, stay tuned for more videos.
Beta distribution formula = O + (4 x ML) + P / 6 = 12 + (4 × 18) + 28/6 = 18.67. Please confirm if this is correct.
That is correct :)
Thanks again for the videos Ray , they are great , I have a question regarding question number 4 and the correct answers , one of the problems of the team is that they are acting passive ( to me sounds like they are lost and don't understand agile and their roles in it potentially relates to their motivation ) now , how training on estimation can improve their motivation and can fix their problem being passive as an agile team member , to me doesn't make sense because although their getting better in one task ( estimation of story points ) but still the problem of Morale is not resolved, the other side of the problem statement is the problem of productivity ( by definition productivity means getting things done successfully in a specific period of time right ? ) now the question comes up for me that how option B is the right answer although you can choose option C , and the reasoning is by reducing the backlog and refining it , you will be saving the schedule , still the targets will be met since its only refined ( nothing is cut but only getting more refined and to the point ) this way we wont be missing deadlines , correct me if I'm wrong please , thank you Ray
Hello, following would be my explanation:
Firstly, doing something how it is supposed to be done gives results, that improves morale
Secondly, reducing a backlog is 'postponing' a problem rather than 'solving' it. Someone needs to pick it up later right? Same problem will happen then.
Hi Ray,
For Q#4, there appears to be a time management issue with the team as they are missing the deadlines for PLANNED story points. No where it states that they lack ability to not estimate the story points. So that should ideally rule out Option A.
Stem of the question articulates that the team is passive (not seemingly happy with transitioning over to Agile) possibly hinting towards their preference (career advancement) for a predictive set-up. Also keeping in view, the key words " Morale" and" productivity" Option B & E are the most appropriate choices as opposed to Options A and B.
Can you rationalize the option selected by you?
Hi Sumit, the correct option is rationalized as part of the answer explanation in the video.
Excellent..4 correct
Great job! All the best with your exam :)
I scored 3.5 i.e 70%, Taking these mini quizzes has improved my scores from 40% (a month ago) to 70% (Now)
Thanks Ray
I am also subscribed to your Udemy mocks and they are helpful
Glad to know that you find these monthly Q&A sessions helpful :)
Thanks ray for this .. just a question on fast tracking just want to understand will it affect cost as I understood that it is schedule compression technique but only crashing increases cost
Hi, fast tracking may or may not increase cost, but crashing definitely increases cost.
My understanding is Fast-tracking may increase risk and affect quality because it requires embarking on multiple tasks simultaneously. While Crashing affects cost because it has to do with bringing additional resources. This is how I differentiate them when the need arises. My exam is in few days 🙏. Your videos are awesome and very helpful.
The clue statement says "to develope the project approach", but the question says to "to begin the development process". Development approach and development process are not same. Do not you see some gap?
Hi, I see some gap in your understanding. Please explain why either of "to develop the project approach", AND "to begin the development process" will influence the choice of Option D not being the correct answer?
In second question you mention fast tracking will increase cost. But as per guidelines fast tracking supposed to increase risk not cost. Do you mean the cost for the risk?
Hi, generally if risk is increased, cost increases as well potentially to mitigate it.
@@PMPwithRay Thank you that was my first guess but as per guides description it only mentions that fast tracking will increase risk... :)
4 out of 5, i have selected wrong answer of question no. 5. However the question is very tricky and as like as real exam. waiting for your next question episode
Well done and keep practicing :)
Q3 Beta is 18.66
Yes, that's correct :)
Reference Q-2 , should the CR always be the second best option not the first option except where changes to baseline plan is required and there is no other option?
Yeah, might be the 2nd best option in this case.
4.5 /5
For the 4 th question, i saw the word " improve the morale" of the team. So i chose the option training on team motivation.
Isnt that a correct option ?
Hello, I have explained the correct option within the explanation section of the video. I suggest you watch that part again for the question.
Hi Ray, Please confirm how the answer 19.33 is OK against the 18.67. How to select between Triangular and Beta distribution ? as it is confusing many times..
The question will generally tell you which distribution to use.
Q4 . "e" option looked promising because the team was passive , got 4/5 , will practise ur udemy course tomorrow .. My exam is on 19th Aug... fingers crossed sir ...Hope to clear it
Thank you for watching and commenting! All the best for your exam!
I too made the same mistake
Q2. Majorly Fast Track will increase cost? or risk ?
That is correct. That is why B is wrong.
3/5
Thank you for participating. Keep practising :)
Q4- will Moral & Productivity not increased by option E? which is to be solved? please clarify how the Moral & productivity will be address by A & B options.
Hi, your problem statement is NOT to solve the morale/productivity of the team in general, but to increase it in sync with project requirements. Option E may/may-not do that but individual career aspirations is a regular HR-Employee discussion which is not directly related to the project.
Thats true. But how will a burn up or burn down chart alone will improve the morale of a passive team?
Hi Ray ! I have taken your UDEMY mocks.Request you to kindly bring more videos like this.. I have my exam scheduled on 2 September
I will try my best! And I wish you luck for your exam.
Do these questions are apart from the Udemy?
Yes they are different questions which will help you to prepare for the exam.
Hope you were able to successfully clear the exam
@@sumitmitra7336 Yes Sumit ! I am certified now
will have to study more
All the best!
(P+4M+O)/6
That is correct :)
Beta = (P+O+4M)/6
That is correct.
1 out of 5 were right for me
No worries! Please continue to do the analysis for the questions you got wrong. That is the key to success!

Thank you for sharing your score. Don’t worry about the score too much. However, focus on your learning gaps and try to improve on the same. The key to a good Exam score is a solid analysis of your mistakes during the practice sessions.

Nice job! All the best for your exam. Thank you for sharing your scores. :)
Q5. Asking the team members to suggest ways to resolve the conflict sounds wrong.. PMs are suppose to help resolve conflicts. Team members on software projects are worker bees and not skilled enough to resolve conflicts. Let me know what I am misisng.
Hi Sandeep, you are missing the 'servant leadership' aspect of the question which needs you to involve your team in problem resolution.
4.5 :D
Thank you for participating and commenting.
Got 4.5 correct
Nice one! Thank you for sharing your score and I believe that you are fairly well prepared for the PMP Exam
I have a genuine query.
Does the PMP exam comprise of MCQ, matching, Fill in blanks etc? Also the number of practice questions that I come across online only comprises of MCQ. Not sure what type of questions to expect in PMP exam. Thank you
Hi. There will be standard 4 choice mcq and 5/6 choices multi-select ones.
On top of this, there will be drag & drop, matching and hotspot questions as per this article by PMI: www.pmi.org/-/media/pmi/documents/public/pdf/certifications/prototype-exam-questions.pdf
I have discussed all of these question types and sample questions on my PMP 35 PDU course on Udemy

I am from an airline background working as a team leader in the operations department. I have tenure of 18 years now. Can I do PMP or PBA as we have a department that is into developing software products.
Will this experience of mine count in meeting the elegibility criteria for pmp or pbp.
Plz could you answer my queries 🙏
Hello, you may not be eligible since you do not have core project manager work-ex. Please check this blog article to know the details of PMP eligibility www.pmpwithray.com/pmp-certification-eligibility-requirements/
@@PMPwithRay Thank you for your response.
O+4*R+P/6
That's correct :)
I disagree with you for question 5. When the situation is tense, first duty of manager is first clam the atmosphere to get the team aligned rather than asking everyone in the team to voice concern and issue.
May be answers are set up in a ambiguous manner.
Hi, this is how PMI wants you to think as a PMP aspirant. It matters less what you or I think will happen in a real life scenario.
got 4.5/5🙂

@@PMPwithRay Thanks Ray...that's what I'm trying to do in my exam preparation..what happen if you don't answer a question during the exam? How this question is calculated in the final score?
Hello, an unanswered question is treated as an incorrect answer and you get zero marks on that question.
4 out of 5. Did not read the last line of Q3 at all 😅
Well done and keep practicing :)
I got 5 out of 5 but ive been testing elsewhere and I didn't do well at all 🥴
Thanks for watching and participating!
