Adam's description of the advantages of long harness lines is spot-on. Long lines, after 40 years of windsurfing, I can tell you, are the way to go. I am 174cm and I use 32" lines.

You need to consider the type of harness used. Longer lines are better with seat harness.
How do you upwind on a "sinker" with long lines on low wind but choppy condition? 🤔 Back foot out of footstrap? Body n sail position?
Can someone give a tip on how to avoid stucking into the harnes lines during movements (e.g. jibe) if you used them longer?
The just get out easier than short ones 👌 even for jumps too
