So I tried the new Gumi Synth V AI in a rock song and... 🤔 ((Un)Natural Selection cover)

- Just bought Gumi SV today and decided to make an impromptu cover cos why not lol
If you want to use the new Gumi Synth V AI for a song that requires strong, powerful vocals, this is an example of how powerful she can sound (in English at least)... Definitely not as much as other vocals like Teto or Solaria, but still pretty good? The vivid parameter turned up all the way helps but I hope they add another parameter (like 'powerful') in the future to give her some extra oomph for songs like this. She's definitely better with the high notes than Teto though and the overall tone of her voice fits very well. So let me know what you guys think!

I'm definitely underwhelmed by Gumi SV's lack of a power mode, but having listened to the original, this definitely showcases that she has a really good range!!

Ooh wow! Yeah, she’s definitely lacking the power of Teto’s vocals, but she also definitely handles a lot better on those really high notes. Hopefully they drop a Power append sometime soon?
(Also, yeah I HAVE to gush about the new voicebank really quickly: she sounds SO realistic, holy crap. I like more robotic voicebanks like Flower too, but it’s always impressive hearing how the SynthV voicebanks push the envelope and keep getting closer to human vocals. I’ve heard SynthV Gumi covers by T0D0 that were so realistic I had to take a minute to make sure it was actually Gumi and not a human singer that had Gumi’s name slapped on it as a prank.)
She sounds like she calmed down but still sounds good !!
Considering that I love both GUMI and Teto I think this cover is pretty great!

I love this version! Gumi sounds like she's having more trouble than Teto burying her insecurities in anger. Though I was wondering, would you be willing to add closed captioning to this? It's hard to read the mv past the tuning stuff, and I have trouble parsing words on a good day. UA-cam's auto captions are... Innaccurate to say the least.
Once I add the close captions to the original version I'll be able to post them here as well, but for now seeing the lyrics on the original version might be the easiest 😅

Hmm you might be asking for a while because putting the Synth V vocal file into Vocaloid isn't easy and it would take a lot of re-tuning... Plus Miku came dead last on the vocal poll I had before the song released 😅

Perfect fiction used Vocaloid Gumi and this one uses Synth V Gumi. So same vocals, different programs :)
