You can actually get units up there (where you spawned the builders). At the Iron spot are 1-3 open fields, to make a connection with a gatehouse and a wall on top of the "hill" I used that to snipe my enemies down xD

A very neat trick I discovered for this map:
build your wall more forward on the next corner, BUT use only small gates right next to each other. It should fit exactly up to the sea, with no gaps.
Then build drawbridges on all the gates, *boom* instant moat over full length.
Dig quickly if there is moat missing. Watch enemy get confused.
Use firethrowers, certainly on the edges. Ballista towers behind the gates for sniping siege equipment

I played this the other day. I quickly got 40 assassins and with the 20 swordsmen I was able to rush Sultan and Philip. After that, it was pretty easy, 3 towers made defence easy.

this mission is pretty easy if you just make a moat, about 30 crossbowmen and a few fire balistas and shields.
