    What kind of testing does Dr. Faddis do to determine that, maybe with some certainty, that a catheter is the best non invasive procedure to have? Sounds great but what about the cost? I don't want to have a coronary if my Blue Cross/ Blue Shield don't pay the majority of the costs.

    I’ve had 3 cardio versions that worked for a few days, but then I went out of rhythm. Was then prescribed Tikosyn, and it did partially control the A fib for a year and a half, however did not control it completely. I would be in rhythm for a few days, then go out and then go back in. Frustrating. Finally, and as of today, I have been out of rhythm for over 100 days so I was told to stop taking the Tikosyn. Need to determine what next steps are, probably an ablation, but only 70% success rate. Not sure what to do.

      2 unsuccessful cardioversion. I had TEE AND CT 7 days ago under mild sedation no clots. Then on 10/28/ 22. Was in INTUBATED and attempted multiple times to pass scope for TEE, didn't attempt cryo ablation, went home on METOPROLOL, and resumed eliquis, and dofetilide, throats, sore, swollen, was given steroid for swelling, can't swallow, choke on saliva, I would only attempt an ablation at a different facility, and no students MD ever touching me!!

    I’ve failed to have a cardiologist suggest lifestyle changes but go straight to those blood thinners. What’s with that? I’ll keep figuring it out for myself. I’ve seen what blood thinners do to people. Metoprolol is bad enough. Anyway interesting video but I think I’ll keep working on improving health over the medical hell I have already experienced.

    • @queenbee3647
      @queenbee3647 Рік тому

      Blood thinners are given to prevent you from developing blood clots in the top of your heart. That pooling blood will form blood clots and send them off through your body, which can cause a stroke or death. It doesnt take long to form a clot. You couldnt change your lifestyle fast enough to prevent those. I have right sided cong heart failure with Afib and COPD. Im on Xarelto.
