Both Bruce Lee and Sonny Chiba boosted my interest in studying the connections of various martial arts and its rich history. In particular, Chiba boosted my interest in studying the connection of Karate with Chinese kung fu and the Okinawan version of Karate due to curiosity on why Chiba has some similarities with the fighting moves of Bruce Lee.
Okinawan Karate was derived from Southern Kung Fu plus one of Chiba's Black Belts was in Shorinji Kempo a Chinese derived style. He also wrote how Lee's films influenced him in an article in the magazine/book Bruce Lee The Secret Of JKD & Kung Fu.

I'm not also been to many countries ( outside japan ) life in Japan has no longer holidays . almost working working days. tourists say , Japanese stuff products are pricy . but we also have cheaper but good quality shops ^.^ and I use them alot for saving up my money . hope I could help with good infos for ppl love to come in Japan . more happiness to my friends with Japanese hearts in around the world ! :-)

Yes, he did an article on how Bruce Lee inspired him in an article called "Bruce Lee Has Lit Up A Fire In My Heart" in a magazine/book called Bruce Lee The Secret Of JKD & Kung Fu. Maybe Quentin Tarratino should get off Bruce Lee's case since he (Quentin) rightly admires Chiba so much. In fact Ciba and Lee were planning to do a film together!
Totally agree with you. Sonny had such a huge body of work in different genres on TV as well as the big screen and we in the west have only seen the tip of the iceberg. Love his Karate, Ninja and Samurai stuff most of all. Would like to see his Judo movie(s) as well!

千葉ちゃんの殺人拳2だったか、ラストで虎口を脱してニヤリとするシーンがあるのですが、観ているこちらも思わずニヤリとしてしまったことがあります。
丁度鬱屈していたガキのころで、なんとか危機突破しようぜと励まされた気持ちがしました。いまでも覚えています。千葉ちゃんに感謝です！

それと、真田さんが子役時代に千葉さんと会っていなかったら、今の活躍も無かっただろうし、巡り合いって大事なんだと感じました。
追伸ですが、敵役の方々のやられ方が上手なので迫力が増しますよね。特に、福本清三さんの倒れ方は特徴があって解りやすいです。
