I think the primer is supposed to help fight acne, if you acne prone. If you use it overtime your face supposed to clear up. That’s how they marketed on their website.

i find it weird because salicylic acid is a pretty potent ingredient that will make most users "purge" (basically increasing skin cell turnover, causing any nasty stuff in your pores to come to the surface before clearing up). and as far as i know, elf didn't mention that in any of their marketing.
so i think they'll get a few reviews saying that the product broke them out even if it would've make their acne better in the long term. like... if people purge from this they're going to think they're breaking out and freak out. i'm curious to see how much this primer helps in the long run but i don't think most people will give it that long of a chance if they see themselves "breaking out" and are unfamiliar with skincare ingredients lol
