None of the music is mine, it all belongs to its rightful owners, etc.
It’s like discovering coheed for the first time again :O I love it
Thank you for sharing this with those of us who werent there in the beginning. 😢
I haven’t listened to some of these songs in like a decade. I forgot how great these songs are!
I wanna be 15 again 😔
This is the first tiem I'm ever hearing any of this, and I still feel weirdly nostalgic about it lol. I'd been hearing for a while that Coheed used to go by "Shabutie", and it's even in the lyrics of one of the songs, so I decided to finally search it out and see if they had any unique songs under the name, so here I am. I'm digging it, and I now officially think Claudio's music career is flawless lol
I first listened to Cassiopeia back in 2006. It is still the most beautiful song that I've ever heard...
Eternally grateful for this upload. It's like discovering the Lost Ark or some other antiquity!
I would sell my already damned soul to own a physical copy of these EP's. They should do one final limited pressing of each. They'd sell out in record time, I'm sure.
I have a Plan to Take Over the World cassette. Got it in 2000 at my first Coheed/Shabutie show. And I tracked down a Penelope EP cd still in the plastic. It doesn't look resealed to me. Got it in 2004, so I don't think there was much incentive to counterfeit it then. I'm open to selling them if you're that interested.
@@jakel7213 eBay that ... I would buy
Get audio recording program to record this on to cd on your computer, boom.
that's a little too much ! you're as hardcore fan as they get, i suppose.
great music,...i miss this era of C & C. their earlier LPs are legendary. I haven't been a huge fan of anything they have put out in about 6-8 years.
@@jakel7213 I'd be very interested in purchasing those if still available and you're still open to it!!
this is the most insane nostalgia blast i’ve experienced in recent memory. don’t think i’ve listened to these since high school. thank you so much lol
Thanks for sharing this. Coheed is my favorite band. I only knew about Shabutie because of the documentary in the box set. It sucks that I can’t get a physical copy of these but at least I finally got to hear them.
Thanks so much for this upload. I think I'm going to download it down before its too late.
Thanks for uploading this!!!
Thanks godspeedguy for posting this up I needed the whole thing in one list saved me the hassle tbh 😁
Oh my god this is so awesome. Coheed before Coheed, still so beautifully badass and prog.
Damn thank you! Finally found it again
Can't thank you enough!
The Keywork and I thank you
Thank you!
a great upload for the true enthusiast
AND IM A BAAAASTAARD
I love this so much!!!!
Thk u upload
Oh, thanks, this is excellent! :)
I wish this had the sound quality of second stage, it would be epic
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁
That voice man... Jesus..
THANK U
Deep cuts here! You can kinda hear little licks and progressions that ultimately became Co&Ca songs
Yeah I noticed the same thing
I remember downloading these albums from TPB back in 2009 and was rocking that shit! Victory at Last isn't a Coheed band but they were similar. I would recommend checking them out as well.
Yoooo thank you for this. They have an album and EP on Spotify. The guy sounds like Claudio and the singer from Young the Giant/The Jakes had a vocal baby. Good stuff almost no one listening.
@@Andrewmcfadin hell yeah!
Thanks to you I found a new band thanks Bro I wish there was more Victory at last material out there
@@zelixleo5 How much material of theirs did you find
@@bryanfrye8770 only like 6 songs on UA-cam but they sound great almost just like coheed
so fucking rare ive been searching for this for a while
Strung Short sounds like The Willing Well II!
wrong! The Willing Well II sounds like Strung Short
#punintended
Claudio has spent his whole career since SSTB trying to distance himself from this part of his life, and I understand why. The truth is though, I don't know if I've ever witnessed anyone harness pure agony in a more beautiful way. He's our Vincent Van Gogh. Our Nikola Tesla. Largely under the radar, but I hope one day the world recognizes this man as the genius he is...he saved my life.
The rhythm guitar on camouflage 😩
mad i can't find these on spotify
This Wake Up is Such A Jam!
Who else is going on the cruise and demanding they play both these demos + Elf Tower????
I’m here since someone posted the set list for last night and they played Strung Short!
If these were recorded a bit better, this would be an absolutely killer album I can't believe I never found this before!
Personally I think I like it better with the lower production quality. I think it adds to that new band charm. But yeah, I think it'd be cool if they'd re-record these and release them
@@CodyTheGuitarist I get wym, that charm and sound is why i adore second stage. If second stage were rerecorded i think id like it a smidge less
Would it be possible if you'd.. let's say, send me the hq audio files? Like for educational purpose you know
I'm pretty sure since I live and travel in NYC I can just scream "SHABUTIE" down the street and no one would blink twice. So I'm gonna try that out
how'd it go?
I would sell all of my possessions to have physical copies of these.
Damn need this on vinyl
Saw C&C live in like 2004 in a small venue with 200 people, I think Claudio shaked hands with almost every single person in the room and they spent some shots for everybody.
It was such a great time, saw them again two more times. Until like 2012, I turned away from rock music completely.
Only coming back from time to time to shed a tear of nostalgia to this unique, lengendary music.
Yooooooo is this Josh eppards?
Damn this guy likes Godspeed and coheed. What a chad
I heard that the label asks them to change their name because shabutie sound ez like a funk bad name weirdly so 5he lead vocals brought the idea of coheed and cambria off a comic that he started
I doubt it would've been just that with the direction they took the band. They definitely didn't just change the name of the band.
Totally blaming the comic but oh well, it's all good music.
>>>on brothersz
Josh isnt on drums yet im taking it???
Correct, original drummer, Nate Kelley who is actually featured on SSTB on 33 and Delirium Trigger
@@thegodspeedguy7312 nate kelly played delirium trigger???? And 33???? I can kinda hear 33 but delirium trigger that sounded like josh man....and even in the video for that song shows josh playing
@@thegodspeedguy7312 i never knew that. Maybe its josh on the remastered album idk...that blew my mind lol i been one among the fence since sstb and always tought josh played that whole CD
@@anthonyjones3835 those two recordings were taken and remastered from a Shabutie release. So even on the remaster Josh isn't on the whole album!
I can actually hear the difference in the snare and the kit on 33 and delirium trigger then then rest of the songs. Nate has a more snappy snare.
28:25 Camouflage
SHAAAAAAABUUUUHTIIIEEEEEEEE
I like how in a lot of the latter songs, it starts to delve into themes of sexual abuse, or at least that's my interpretation of some of the lyrics
“I like how…” bro WHAT
@@theo6741 What? I like that they tackle it. There a problem with that?
@@CodyTheGuitarist ignore them, they’re immature and don’t understand good story telling and writing
I wish they went back to this instead of what they gave us with the Unheavenly Creatures sound.
Yeah, lots do. But you have to think of all their other albums. They were all different, and not everyone liked them. Just like how you don’t like unleavenly.
@@EternalWithin I just prefer the old sound dude, never said I don't like heavenly creatures though 👍
@@mythik7658 I like the afterman albums personally, I think it's claudios best writing. _but_ sstb and keeping secrets are just epic as all hell
