I’m hoping they decide to change their views about always online. We already got the crew from Ubisoft and speaking of the crew. Look at what Ubisoft is playing to do to one of the best online racing games. The crew 1 will lose its online servers sometime in 2024 and everyone that has played and owned that game for so long, won’t be able to play it no more, including me and that annoys me. That’s why online only games aren’t that great if they end up losing their servers :/. So yeah fingers crossed this game ends up with an offline mode and online mode. So in case something were to happen to the online mode. U can still play the game :)
Just because it’s a racing game doesn’t mean all of the roads need to be extra wide with almost zero traffic. Empty feeling maps are really my number one problem with these kinds of games
Exactly this. Maybe its just the cinematography of the shots but the engine is ripping but the car looks like its going the pace of someone who is a little late for work
The Devs look like they are really putting in some serious work and are confident in their game. I love how they are not showing made up CGI trailers and instead are showing their game in its raw state at the time. It’s always in the game’s engine which allows you to see the real progression of the game and it looks better every time it’s shown. So by the time the actual game releases it will look better than it’s trailers. That’s something I love that Rockstar Games does with their game trailers too over the years. They always give you trailers in the game’s engine to not give players a false CGI reality they don’t want to overhype their work and lie to its player base. Then somehow the games always looks better than the trailers that were shown. I can’t wait for both of these game’s legendary early 2000s gaming franchises.

As we can see they kept the original things that are unique in the series! The car's wreck, tunning, incredible ambience, amazing sounds and overall super quality in everything. That's why this is my favorite series of race games
What I loved about test drive was the ability to feel attached to one or a few cars. In forza horizon you sneeze and get like 100 cars then I don't know what to do after beating the 20 minute long campaign.
I hope the driving in this game feels as rewarding, exciting, and satisfying as the driving in Driveclub! Gran Turismo might be realistic but it just doesn’t feel as fast or fun as Driveclub was. Not to mention Driveclubs graphics which for a 9 year old game were way ahead of their time.
In terms of the open world, TDUSC will be smaller. But in terms of the experience, TDUSC shows promise. Hope Kylotonn handles it right. (Eden didn’t with TDU2. The horrible driving physics spoiled it. Shame because I played lots of it and loved cruising around.)
I wasn’t paying much attention to this game until the last couple months. Let’s just say the new Forza Motorsport should help boost sales of this game a LOT! I hope the devs release a complete and polished game.
Complete isn’t a thing anymore in games these days. Ever since DLC became the norm. Polished, I hope so. TDU2, despite having such a great open world experience with both Ibiza and Oahu, was spoiled by horrible driving physics.

Where is the police chases. I’m 99% sure they left out police. That was still a big part of the game to me. The risk of Getting pulled over and paying a ticket made driving more exciting. Also where is the off-roading.

I’m loving that we have another open world Hong Kong, but this looks so little like Hong Kong. City density looks way too low and the palm trees and golden sunset make it look more like Miami than Hong Kong. They didn’t even use the “cheat code” for evoking Hong Kong with the black & white street signs and red taxis everywhere. There are red taxis, but they are in a parking garage, which they never would be, since they are driven on rotation. Sleeping Dogs still did Hong Kong best.

I think it will be the case but because the map is basically the Hong Kong region, most of the houses will be apartments I bet.
A Test Drive game with a "likely mature" rating is something I never expected to see.
TDU 2 had the same rating. It's because of the casinos and gambling aspect. Also solar crown will have a nightclub so that's another reason
Probably also for street racing while traffic is on the road, and driving in the wrong direction like they showed in this trailer.

There is tire smoke in newer builds if the game and they've already showed cockpit view in the gameplay debut and the cruiser trailer.
