Look into buying Disney, especially for your kids isa. They're sitting pretty after the Fox merger and with the streaming platform on the horizon they're about to receive an enormous monthly gain of membership income. The balance sheet is flawless, P.E ratio bang on, debt very well serviced and most importantly (especially for your long term investments for your kids) they are very consistent in raising the dividend and by a good amount. The compounded yield on cost after reinvesting dividends is insane. I'm long on Disney and will be holding in perpetuity. Always good to have a new voice in the community, be waiting for new videos
Lou, you've got to insist that Freetrade offer a dividend reinvestment feature on their app. Any capital gains and dividends earned will be used to automatically buy more of the same shares in your portfolio. On average, your earning will grow 5X more when you do dividend reinvestment, also called D.R.I.P. I don't get why Freetrade doesn't offer it.
No company is guaranteed, it's here one day and gone the next, Chasing huge profits/dividends isn't a good strategy, in my opinion, Nobody knows when the next recession is either. I'm not saying your portfolio is bad, it is your choice, you decide how you use your money, I like watching your videos because I'm nosey and love seeing what others are doing with theirs and looking if I agree with it and if so, I will follow suit, I keep looking at "SLA" Standard Life Aberdeen, Good dividend yield but I suspect it to be cut sometime in the future, I think they are cheap at the moment and even if their dividend gets halved ill still be getting a yield of 4.15% from my current position. Another good stock I like is "LGEN" Legal and General, its always stomping for me. anyway nice to see an update and I wish you the best of luck.
