Rinku Starr I mean if they were able to give bowser and peach voices in super mario sunshine. Then why can't mario have a voice too? Tough I'm worried in the process of doing so... many people are gonna bitch saying mario should have just stayed as a silent protagonist like link. Because apperantly people have a promblem when a character start to look like he/she is developing some sort of personality. Tough! It'd be a nice experiment to try. I'd have no promblem. I wanted mario to speak since super mario 64 out of curiosity.
Rosalina - Princess of the Cosmos A lot of people seemed to dislike the voice acting in Mario Sunshine, which is weird. Sure, it wasn't amazing, but it wasn't bad either. I'd definitely like to see more character development in Mario, and Zelda games, though, you're right. People would bitch non-stop if that were to happen.
Rinku Starr I really like link personality in skyward sword tough. He may not have talked. But you could figure out what kind of guy he was. I tought it'd be a neat idea to have gave him a voice in that game. I would've probably loved it. Maybe they will give them voices in the future just to see what the audience thinks. Maybe I could be wrong about the bitching and they'll end up loving it. We'll see~
This guy seems very kind and friendly. Plus, he's greatly talented. Charles Martinet, it's been a pleasure playing the great and fun games you had involvement in.
I don't know why, but just seeing and hearing this man is amazing. His enthusiasm and positive attitude makes me smile and nearly cry with nostalgia and happiness every time...
this guy is amazing. Anyone could give a vibrant voice to Mario and still be a prick. This guy seems to radiate a genuinely warm spirit and apparently improvises a good amount of Mario characters, not just Mario. Good for him.
Sadly one of them killed himself because of depression. because he thought he cannot entertain people no more :( this is probably gonna happen to charles too :( (god watch over him)
Charles Martinet is such a happy, great man. I don't think he has realized how many people he has touched for over 20 years. I mean kids have grew up hearing his voice for ages. He's a timeless legend. I hope I get to meet him before I become worm chow. I'd probably cry just like if I met Jaleel White too but still. Great man and great actor!
Really? If they really paid for Charles voice, they wouldn't have edited the voice per computer, otherwise it would be a big joke. Can Martinent really speak this "deep"?
That's a dumb question, Duck. A lot of people actually care for Skyrim, just because you don't doesn't mean you can just put your opinion over millions of fans. The point is, Charles is very talented indeed, as well as a very nice guy.
Morrowind is shit if you ask me. I think, just nostalgic people can like it. The combat system is REALLY dumb and you have to read a lot of the conversations (random damage, most of the time 0 even if you clearly hit the target). I'm a big fan of the Gothic series (altough I hated the 3rd part) and I'm also playing Gothic 1 and 2 today. But I can't really share my feelings with other people who are new to it. They like Gothic 3 very much (wtf) and don't like the first two parts. The games are really great, but they need a lot of time to understand the mechanics. You normally can walk everywhere but at the starting point you're not able to defeat orcs or something. In Skyrim there aren't real enemys and that's what people nowadays look for. You can defeat any enemy directly from the beginning and that is, what's imporant. Gothic 2 has the best combat system (beside Atmosphere and stuff) I've ever met, but in the forums I just find the old players from back then, who still are playing&modding it. Compared to today games I understand, that people don't have the time to start a game like this from scratch and get pissed of very fast. I also started to play Morrowin very late because I read/heard so much good things about it, but I never understand the athmosphere people were talking about. What I love about gothic, is that the played character speaks also and you don't see any papers with the written responses. In the Elder Scrolls, it's much more sterile. You click what you want to say and it's instantly said. There is no real dialog between the characters and they don't gesticulate with each other. Of course Morrowind would be a great game, but it's too outdated for me (not the graphics, but the game mechanics and all this stuff) and I think this is also the reason, why gothic hardly find new players. PS: If you want to start this game, start with part one, because you meet a lot of people from there in Part 2 and the story from part 1 really influences the world in part 2.
I agree! I got 7 of them, along with one Luigi Pikachu sleeve I purchased at his booth when I met him. It was graded 10 when I got it and got a free autograph because I got it.
