Great video, as always. Something I've failed to tell you that I appreciate, is that you treat Joe just like any other member of the family. Lots of love, attention, but when he's kind of being in your face, you let him know that as well. So healthy for Joe to learn boundaries and for you to be wise enforcing them. Well done!
Jennifer you are such a lovely lady . I don't think you ever showed up sad or in a bad mood. You are always radiant and so loving . It's just so good to see .. your family is so lucky
I think it’s good to stock up on food with the way prices keep going up and limited supplies. So, don’t feel bad about stocking up, and you always shop frugally. Love seeing your yummy dishes.
I just adore your children, Joe always has me smiling, Peter and Maria are so helpful and supportive of Joe and you they are just the kids everyone hopes theirs will be. You are just a great friend and mom, you never fail to amaze me with your videos. The way you interact with the kids, especially Joe just makes my heart sing. How do you do it? Everyone is so happy and Loved, not one person feels left out or like they don't get enough attention in any way. Just a great family. I LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!
Hi Jennifer, Same here many ingredients everything I need to bake or cook. I think your hair looks so cute in braids. Love how Joe says M&M cookies ! Joe always wants cookies. You all make my heart so happy. Such a beautiful loving family. God bless you all
Your hot dish looked amazing for a winter meal. I make porcupine balls; burger, minute rice and onions, then covered with mushroom soup. Served with mashed potatoes. It's a family favorite. So I'm sure your meatballs will be a welcomed change!
I make that Hamburg rice dish we call it porcupine balls because the rice sticks out of the ball like a porcupine ball. I love watching your videos and your great recipes.
Isn’t that the truth. I can go to the store and my pantry is full but when I go to make something I am missing one ingredient. 🤦🏼♀️ I loved seeing Joe! He just makes me smile!
Haha I remember the ham debacle! I almost fainted over that $56 ham you ended up with! These are far better! Loving your channel as always Jennifer. More vlogs and longer vlogs tickle me pink! I love the oyster crackers too. Also they make great spicy snacks with little effort! Blessings ❤️🙏🏻❤️
I made "American goulash" last week and I added uncooked elbow macaroni. Then brought it to a good simmer. After about 20 minutes, the elbows were cooked perfectly and I it saved me from cleaning another pot. Merry Christmas to you and yours. May we have peace and goodwill toward each other this year and always. Marcy
I also have soooo many ingredients in the house. Our 2 freezers, pantry and fridge is stuffed. It’s great but then all those ingredients need to be turned into meals. And I get lazy sometimes. I just found your channel a couple months ago. I’m really enjoying all your content. And I made your cranberry nut pie last week. My husband loved it so much he was growling lol. That’s a high compliment from him! 😂😂
I haven’t even watched this yet (because I am at work) and I already know I am going to love it. The title grabbed my attention and made me laugh! Boy have I been there. You just need one or two things and next thing you know you have a whole cart full. I am looking forward to watching after work tonight!
Thank you for the beautiful recipe book 📚 , I just enjoy all the recipes. Have a blessed Christmas 🎄. You have a great loving family , Jennifer you are great mentor to me! 🤗 Ingrid
Have you watched the show Super Size Me 2 with Morgan Spurlock? It goes into chicken farming and how they grow chickens rapidly and other things. I got your cook book in the mail last week! I was so excited to open it up and start cooking. Thank you for the little note inside!
That hamburger hot dish has me starving! Time for lunch but we are going out for an early dinner for my husband's birthday. I think I would choose your hot dish over a restaurant steak anyday!😋 Love Joe's enthusiasm. He had me smiling all the way through the video.😁
For our thanksgiving turkey breasts I make a compound butter with fresh chopped rosemary and zested satsumas/tangerines. Put it under the skin and roast. Then use the drippings and some extra satsuma juice to make the gravy. It is so yummy. Works really nice with chicken breasts too
I made the cranberry bread from your cookbook tonight with the last of my clearance cranberries I put in the freezer last year. I added a splash of almond extract and a bit of cinnamon and ginger. It's amazing!!!
Those Appleton farms hams are so good I got 2 last week they were on sale for .95 cents a pound I was so happy I ended up with 20 pounds of ham for $18. Great haul!
Hi my name is fiorella and I love watching your videos I love your family your childre what a beautiful family I just wanted to say that I live in 11 acres land and my husband and son are hunters and they do bring the deer home and I love watching how you use your deer meat so I learned so much from that thank you bless you and your family ❤️🎄
Hey from Pensacola, Florida. We are getting an Aldi!! I’ve never been to one and I always see you and Jamerrill shopping there. I’m excited to shop there. Hope y’all are safe from all the bad weather. Merry Christmas 🎄
Congrats! It took me a couple trips to master putting the quarter in the cart rack (you'll get it back upon return) and to appreciate some of the off brand items. Can't get everything we need there but for what I can, the prices are great. Enjoy and don't forget a quarter! :-)
We called those meatballs porcupine meatballs. When basting like that I pull out my turkey baster, works great as long as there are no lumps of veggies. I try and make soup like you make your chili but my soup always ends up more like a stew in thickness. We had a 7 layer dinner that you make in an oven proof bowl, you start with a layer of sliced potato then onion then whatever two veggies you like (ie corn and peas) then a layer of rice (quick cook works best) and then raw ground beef that you top with a can of tomato soup, cover and bake 350 degrees until potatoes done (35 - 45 min) the only spices are salt and pepper on every other layer. I would make this to stretch out the meat as I had one family member who would take all the meatballs in a dish. The old time recipes taste the best on a cold winter day. It is so nice to see all the kids helping out.
@@acountrylife it is a cheap and easy meal, if I only have half a pound of ground beef I can make it filling by increasing the potatoes onions and rice. If the beef isn't brown enough just take the foil off and put back in the oven for a few more minutes. Just season it to suit your family - I have added a couple of squirts of ketchup to the canned soup with a dash of garlic powder and a teaspoon of worcestershire sauce.
I half remember you talking about expensive ham two years ago 😂 I remember because I was end of 1st trimester and rather sick and it was me watching you whilst ‘supervising’ my (absolutely amazing) husband help the kids made cakes 😂 there was much mess and lots of fun. pretty sure it was a Christmassy time vlog from you.
As soon as he started talking about what you were going to make I was I stopped I pause the video and started making my own list for the month of January and we’re gonna have a couple of the same dishes
I am with Warren ilove chili I can never get enough I make it all the time and I like to add a can of pumpkin into mine I think it gives it a good flavor and it’s just really good that way
Part 2) something similar with putting a layer of chopped potatoes on the bottom, then cut up chicken breasts into chunk sized pieces, then a layer of green beans on top. Pour chicken stock over it & cover with foil & bake! It is so good!
You should buy fruit from your local schools FFA program. It is amazing tasting fruit! (I guess i shouldnt assume they do this in WI, i am in MN) Definitely check it out though!
The hamburger hotdish is like how my Mama’s family do stuffed peppers the meatballs would go in the hollowed out peppers then put in pot with the tomato soup and water. Either cooked on the stove or in oven.
Those remind me of the porcupine meatballs that my grandma used to make. I have to say, I agree with you about the Aldi oyster crackers. The old ones were not very good, but this season they have been great. Have you ever made the oyster crackers with ranch seasoning and oil? That used to be a big thing when I was a kid, but I don't know if it is just a regional thing or not. They were more common around the holidays than chex mix.
Meatballs and rice sounds delicious nice like a casserole dish I love watching always I look forward to seeing you always God bless you 🙏🏽🇺🇸🎄📿🙏🏽✝️🤶🎄🎅✝️

You looked so adorable with your beanie and braids! Thank you for sharing your hauls and recipes! I just got your recipe book in the mail!! Woot!!
I agree! I was thinking the same thing as I was watching the video!
