🙋🏾♀️As a Celebrity Cosmetologist Hair Artist & Natural Hair & Locs Salon owner of 30yrs, I'd advise to NEVER use alcohol on your hair for any reason as alcohol dries and strips the natural oils from our hair. Yes, using an emollient oil based product was the correct choice, your advice to seek a professional was excellent & you did a wonderful DIY job👍🏾 😊Keep thriving, shining & inspiring Sunshine 🌟
i appreciate your honesty about the ridiculously overpriced installs. thats why im thankful for girls like you that do tutorials on here so we dont have to go through that 💕
@Keyara A. true but then again there are these stylist that charged an arm & leg and they don’t treat your natural hair at all! And you have some that refuses to do 4c hair but these are black stylists 😭💯so this can go hand & hand. So don’t be harsh on people who would rather study videos and do it themselves 🤷🏽♀️💯cause a stylist can make you go bald too… I knew of girls who spend $500 to get their hair done and that shit ended up matting and what not in less than a week🤷🏽♀️💯 frontal lifting and etc; and yes they keep their hair tied up. Just cause you’re a stylist don’t mean you know what you’re doing and doing it yourself doesn’t make mean your cheap but you’re not a pro. Plus we in a pandemic 🙄💯 and prices are going up while people are dying lmao so let the “diy girls” have fun
@Keyara A. Never placed my head under a white stylist hands... Stylist can charge whatever they want but everyone doesn’t have that amount of money to throw on a 3-4week hairstyle. Therefore I appreciate videos like this that show us how to do styles in our own head in to avoid falling victim to paying money that could cause us to go in debt. And go bald ? 🤣 ok
@Keyara A. I see all women doing it not just black women and honestly it’s ridiculous to charge $1200 to install some tape ins when somebody just does good and has been in the game for 20 years only charge 400 and will also wash your hair
@@neutralkay actually you 100% can go bald installing TAPE INS on yourself … it’s tape and hair … THIN pieces of hair you do not have eyes in the back of your head and you are more at risk to damage your hair. ESPECIALLY if you are your first model … like come on😭 tape ins are an expensive luxury . Same way lash extensions and wigs are. Don’t bash hairstylists because you can’t afford what they’re offering. Stick to $130 sew ins .. because that’s clearly your tax bracket…
thank you so much girl you posted all the info in need to know to get this done on my own at home and save money! I watch all the videos you posted on this process and you did great!
How did you get your tape ins to last so long? Mine usually starts sliding out after a few weeks, and i dont put any grease or oils in my hair at all. Did you use the tape in tool when installing? Please help, thanks. ❤
You can reuse them! You just have to replace the tape tabs. Tape-in extensions can last a while if the quality of hair is good! Yes, I use to wear the mess out of clip-ins. I have a TON of videos on my channel. I still wear them to this day :)
Thank you for this video! I know at 4 weeks when you washed your hair, a few of them came out. What about the next five weeks after that? Did you have to repair some during that time?
These looked great!! I wanted to do these, but how did you moisturize your hair for all of that time? I guess you could use a non oil based moisturizer but I think combined with my natural oil and sweat it might not work for me! Idk…
Girls you do not need to use alcohol. You need patience, spritz an oil over all all the tape ins massage thoroughly and wait at least 30 mins. Then go back in massaging and separating the tapes.

@@miimonalisa no one is charging $400 for tape ins & majority of the time the installs are $1200 because it includes the hair …
I use avocado oil and it works like a charm!
🤣🤣🤣🤣"let me get your brother out".. Great informative video👍🏾
lol! Thank you!
“Let me get your brother out” 😂😂😂 thanks love! I’m saving myself $175 by doing this myself
Lol! Yes, keep your pockets full!
I’m glad you drop this content I’ve been wanting to try hair extensions
Try them girl! haha
thank you so much girl you posted all the info in need to know to get this done on my own at home and save money! I watch all the videos you posted on this process and you did great!
Thank you! I'm glad it was helpful!
You’re freaking adorable. Thanks for sharing this! ❤
Thank you for watching!!
You should get you a bottle applicator so that you can squeeze the oil in between the 2 tape ins for faster take Down
That's such a good idea!
How did you get your tape ins to last so long?

Thanks for the video! I used 90% alcohol to take out last time and it broke my hair out😬 so it’s good to know oil does work!☺️🙏
Great video. I actually tried 91% alcohol and it did but work. Oil on its own worked great…
Thank you, thank you! I really appreciate this video. Did you any hair in the process?
Thank you for watching! Nope, just my regular shedding. Nothing extra.
You should oil your staple the night before and the wrap it that way it should all be ready to fall out the next day
That's a great idea!
wow the new growth !!
Lemme get yo brutha out 3:28 😂😂❤
I just love your face girl 😍so smooth
Haha. Thanks!
Can you reuse the tap in or are they no longer reusable also have you ever tried the clip in hair extensions
You can reuse them! You just have to replace the tape tabs. Tape-in extensions can last a while if the quality of hair is good! Yes, I use to wear the mess out of clip-ins. I have a TON of videos on my channel. I still wear them to this day :)
@@JussErin thanks for the information
@@JussErin which one do you prefer
You are too freakin cute. Thank you for such a lovely video and I think I might just try the tape ins for curly hair.
Thanks so much!
How many tape ins in each bundle ? I love how it looks on u
40 tapes
Please show us the diffusing process! I would love to see that
Just uploaded the video yesterday! Now I love diffusing haha
Thank you for this video! I know at 4 weeks when you washed your hair, a few of them came out. What about the next five weeks after that? Did you have to repair some during that time?
Thank you for watching! I didn't lose any other tape-ins after that wash day. I replaced the three that came out and actually added more.
Oil Sheen Spray works great
Good to know. Thank you!
Just subscribed . Thanks girl
Thanks so much!
I will definitely try tape ins!
You should!
You’re funny!!! Lol thanks for the vid
Thanks for watching!
These looked great!! I wanted to do these, but how did you moisturize your hair for all of that time? I guess you could use a non oil based moisturizer but I think combined with my natural oil and sweat it might not work for me! Idk…
Thanks! I don't moisturize my hair when I wear it straight to avoid weighing my hair down. I let my natural hair oils do that.
Thank you for the review.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this video.
Thank you for watching!
I appreciate it
Thank you 💛
Thank you for watching!
Can it be use again?
Yes, you would just have to change the tape tabs.
can you use it again please ?
How were you moisturizing your natural hair?
Since my hair was straight I did put any heavy oils or moisturizers on it
I’m too scared to do anything extension wise to my hair after having great hair loss before from quick weaves, box braids, etc
I’m tried everything except tape ins so I completely understand some of the methods pull your hair out
I get that. I was nervous as well.
Yeah girl those styles are not for
Everyone💯
what kind of oil
You can literally use any kind of oil you want
Girls you do not need to use alcohol. You need patience, spritz an oil over all all the tape ins massage thoroughly and wait at least 30 mins. Then go back in massaging and separating the tapes.
It's not moving because you're not peeling the tape and directing the oil inside it. Rubbing it on top of the tapes isn't going to do anything
Can i use olive oil or coconut oil anyone?
Yes, you can
Thank you have made a great god
Did you have any breakage
Nope!
What kind of oil are you using in this video?
I honestly don't remember. It's a random oil that I got in a PR package a long time ago. I'm sorry!
Are you relaxed
Nope, my hair is natural.
@@JussErin I'm tempted. Love the video!
Don't use oil! Use alcohol, then you can reuse them. Also, alcohol removes them faster! Just condition your hair afterwards.
Nope, I'll pass. Not risking ripping my hair out. 😒
I love this but I wouldn’t risk using this on my curly, natural hair.
Let me just say oil. 😌
Yes!
