Depending on the Blockchain network in question, some are stored on nodes distributed around the world (bitnodes.earn.com/). So in the case of EMP or Solar Storm I would imagine that there would be some unaffected nodes that would protect the network and keep it running. Depending on the particular Blockchain network, transactions could be slowed. Also depending on the particular Blockchain, it could become vulnerable to a 51% attack where the network is taken over maliciously.
But as everyone else has said, these would probably be the least of our worries!

I used Erik's method. What happens when we reach 21 million BC? There will be no more 'rewards' for the miners? When that occurs what then happens to the blockchain? Without the incentive to keep the chain going due to the 'rewards', wouldn't the chain just stop and the number of future transactions keep building up without anything happening? The only way around this is to implement a transaction fee but then what's the point as this is what the banks already do according to this video, right?

If a person wrote the code, then there is a chance that person is up to no good and writing code that will steal stuff from you and me and give it to them. How much memory would one persons device need to loan to the blockchain to be able to track data of billions of devices, cryptocurrencies (bet there will be several) & other tech just to be able to make this system workable. Will they have several different blockchains for different purposes? Such as, 1 blockchain for 1 currency. Another single blockchain for IoT (internet of things devices). Etc..
I understand blockchain bundle data data will simply be encrypted text data (probably compressed as well), but still very curious once the blockchain becomes a thing of the norm & everyones device (laptop, smartphone, etc.) will be keeping record of the blockchain(s), how much free space in Mb or Gb would be required?
Bitcoin does not require only saving money in your wallet.
It requires trading under forex.

Am not an pro at this, but I believe you'll have your own key to decrypt your transaction, so will be able to see the details. So if you buy a car, you'll have full visibility into that car's past, that a 'miner' validated the seller actually owns the car, and how he got it ie:purchased it rather than stole, given a miner would not be able to validate a stolen transaction. And if someone did try to sell the car, they'd know who the last owner was. Cars are a bad example, but hope it helps. When you buy into whatever product, you get encrypted visibility into its past. It's brilliant.
