Have been playing Evil Eye for a while now irl after discovering them on Master Duel, I've actually won 2 locals with them and top 3 another 2 times, i feel this deck is so underrated, being able to end on Serziel/Selene (Special summon pop), Ashura King (Monster negate), Retribution (Spell/Trap Negate) and potentially more is great, i run 2 Fenrir as well just because. Plays really well through hand traps if you draw well, only hand trap if found to really hurt the deck is Droll or an Ash or Effect Veiler on Serzial when you don't have follow up, which tbf isn't often.
This deck has a lot of potential and I think it s a great deck to pick up for the price. Only problem that I found is that its boring sometimes xD Always on the same play and everything, wanted to spice it up a bit.
Sadly Cicada King can't stop Nibiru because it activates in the hand, not on the field. Bamboozling Gossip Shadow can stop Nibiru because it changes the effect to "both players draw 1 card" which can help you and it can help the opponent but at least your board isn't getting nuked so yeah....Also it might not happen often but making Ashura King turn 1 with Serziel on board with Selene also isn't a bad option but you need to open with Basilius and Basiltrice, you send the Catoblepas with Evil Eye Unleashed allowing you to make Ashura King on the exactly 5th summon. Normal Serziel, equip with Selene, special Basilius from hand, special summon Catoblepas from GY and use it's effect on Selene to protect it and special summon Basiltrice and then go into Ashura King.
Love this archetype especially when paired with Unchained pre support. This deck puts in work Awakening reads like a custom card lol Serziel is a handtrap magnet lmao.
Not a bad list! Selene for me is just a 1 of for sure though. I also just cut nibiru bc it’s not great against most of the meta right now but I do love the interaction it has with the deck. CL1 Basiltrice CL2 Nibiru and then you can still make empress.
I have been testing out 3 Gorganio and 1 selene so far because it helps end games quicker, only problem is that I'm super scared of banishing effects on Selene. As for Nib, I have traded it in for Droll in my main and DD Crow in the side!
@@puzzledwhale2376 AGOV also came out with new cards that make this strat stronger so I’d recommend trying it out! Either the XYZ armor cards or the Horus engine. Right now I’m loving the XYZ armor cards makes your end board even stronger.
My boi made Day 2 at nats with Evil Eye this year, glad to see the deck get more recognition
YES! That's what I am talking about. The deck is really "fair" in YGO nowadays, but it can still pack a heavy punch if used right.
