I’m not a teacher but I completely agree with the brains of babies are sponges! My 2 year old son knows the whole alphabet, numbers, colors and knows 1-10 in Spanish! I’m constantly working on words with him. It’s a beautiful thing watching him develop before my eyes.
Look into structured literacy! Orton gillingham or Letrs training are programs aligned with structured literacy. Will help you on your path to being an interventionist.
