closest thing we had to a comic book action hero on television back in the 70s. So iconic, We were all glued to the tv set when his show came on. Plus that intro was killer!! never got old
If you are looking for the actual Steve Austin slo-mo sound effect, it’s available on the large Hanna-Barbera 4-cd library with the title ‘singing sword.’ They don’t make a big deal about it, but that’s it.
What a great, great piece of music from the six million dollar man. I love this track at this point my man was get it on in slow mo. I can imagine hip hop track being made over this. Keeping it at the same tempo and not too much too.it.

+John James Can you share that? There's a guy on UA-cam who makes his own compositions of TV themes, especially a good number from the Six Million Dollar Man. I hoped he would do us a good version of this very theme but he doesn't seem amenable to requests.
+Andrew James One had to be a certain age to wholeheartedly enjoy the show. I was eight when the weekly series began in 1974 and it was perfect. Finding back some first year episodes now, there's an unmistakably juvenile tone in the scripts' simplicity and the required suspension of disbelief. But it was undeniably cool and inspired tons of play-acting.
Big bouncy Lee Major's world's biggest TV superstar, if he had done a series of Big budget Bionic threatrical films in 1979 ,instead of killerfish and Norseman he would of cracked the big screen
Excelent, greetings from Mexico, when i was a little kid in 1979 i was thinking what happened if Hulk (tv serie) and Bionic Man fight, would be a amazing crossover, sorry if my english wasn´t right
The epic fight against the Robot is what pops into your head. He knocked his face off. Maybe the best music of all. By the way this music works good when paired with films of vintage military exercises. Best example Soviet propaganda films of 1960s and 1970s mass formation training exercises. Tanks Paratrooper helicopters, air cushion landing craft. . it's like this was made to go with it
? The one thing I never understood as when they use the bonics on the villains and not just with the Hero Steve Austin I guess they were developing a series how it would head towards the bonics sounds it still gives me a a real exciting thing every time I hear it in a South Park show or in some show that used the bonics sound for some reason like Rick and Morty or some animated show The Simpsons but it's always there and it always gives me like the other guy says Goosebumps when I hear it one of my favorite shows of all times
I have met her twice and the first time I froze when I saw her, I was like WOW you're.. and she's like yes I'm Lindsay Wagner . Second time I took a selfie with her still in awe that I had met her and she's still a gorgeous lady and bad ass I might add !!!
three decades ago the bionic woman and six million dollar man was the shiznic in especially the music. my word television's pure trash in comparison these days.
Isn't this the musical score when he was fighting his friend (John Saxon) who had been replaced by a robot? Loved the sound effects of the malfunctioning circuitry when Steve Austin severely damaged his "friend" during the fight.
Colonel Austin played by Lee Majors would be Cyborg, Christoper Reeve Superman, Adam West or Michael Keaton as Batman, Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman if they did a 70s-80s Justice League movie
Don't know about you guys but when I click on a sound fx link I always 🤞 cross my fingers and hope that the sound fx have SOME INFERNAL TOOTLING going on at the same time

@@LFOVCF no sir i did not say that is not slow. i said that it is slow bc is the music used for "The Day of the Robot" during the fight between steve austin and the robot interpreted by late John Sacon RIP.
The music was well chosen and "built" into the Six Million Dollar Man television series! I remember there being a lot of drums, especially when he was sneaking around (trying to avoid detection) or if he were looking for something.

this music still gives me goosebumps 45 years later..man I loved that show...still do
You can watch all 6 seasons for free on the NBC app for Roku.
Bad ass !!!
Me tooooo!!!
My Steve Austin, my Hero, my Love. You are one of a kind
I know. So many memories!!!
The best!!! sound effect of the 70's
I do my curl routine to this bad ass tune!! Loved the show and still watch everyday on cozi TV.
The ultra-slow electronic warble of Steve or Jamie’s ‘damaged’ bionics still give me the gargoyles to this very day… 😰
'Flight com, i can't hold it, she's breaking up, she's breaking up!"
every battle in my back yard had this soundtrack playing
I love this theme ..couLd listen to this all day...YEAH!!!

Oliver Nelson a legend
From Steve Austin's Epic fight with the Robot ...unforgettable ...might start listening to this in the gym ...
The best song! Very strong! Very danger! The Power...
These sounds are iconic. I think every kid in the 70s knew these sound ehgects😂
I’ve been able to master the sound of the Bionic eye so good, that it really sound like it’s coming from the TV show. The Six Million Dollar Man
I do that and Jaime's hearing all the time

This show had a lot of good music whenever the six million dollar man in bionic action
Running in slow motion listening to this.LOL!
Just feel running and fighting like a Cyborg listening this sound
I don't know why but I could listen to this loop all day straight no problem
Me too! With this extended version John made, I could listen to this for hours on end.
Me too!! I love it!!
Great break composed originally by Oliver Nelson Jazz genius
While running in slow motion making the BIONIC SOUND effects !!!!
I love this TV show, i love Steve I love músic. They are amazing.! Thanks Oliver
Enough to inspire the 7 year old me to great things in the play ground.
Great Show
Steve Huston

Lumber yard worker, moving man, truck loader, sanitation man...etc., would benefit from listening to this loop! Wonderful!
Or a Machinist - Journeyman job particularly in aviation!

Very much so
Is it me or Doesn’t this theme make u actually believe you ARE Steve Austin on a mission in some jungle or infiltrating some Russia nuclear plant?
Makes me want to kick somebody's ass in slow motion.

This music score sounds like the top menu from the DVD box set.
+matt Williams You have the DVD Box Set? It's not on the top menu of my DVD Box Set? Could be different versions of the DVD Box Set out there.
Thanks for posting this. I wish I could find just the music score of this without the bionic sound effects.

I loved that show. There's an episode of the Six Million Dollar Man, called The Carnival of Spies, which has a similar theme.

perfect casting lee majors and Lindsey wagner.great sound effects.i always liked what i call the tumbling sound effects(0:12;0:17;0:21....)
Fairly sure that sound is hard reverb feedback…that sound clip is as hard as coffin nails. Serious as death orders. Wicked sick.

There was certainly a lot of talent in the 1970s. I really enjoyed the Six Million Dollar Man - all of it - and especially the music!

Steve Austin the first Robocop... bizarro...
The coolest sound effects ever. Who created them?
i don't know about most of the effects but i do know the bionic eye sound effect sounds eerily similar to the traffic walk signal in South Africa.
Isn't this the musical score when he was fighting his friend (John Saxon) who had been replaced by a robot? Loved the sound effects of the malfunctioning circuitry when Steve Austin severely damaged his "friend" during the fight.
If it's not, then it's very similar.
The same sound effects - which sounded somewhat animalistic - were heard when Steve battled that robot duplicate of Oscar Goldman
Yes, this is the music from the "Day of the Robot" fight.
R.I.P. Mr. John Saxon. Enter the Dragon.
The John Saxon robot was my favorite episode.
i also like the slower duhhh naaaaa naaa naaa sound that Sasquatch had hehe, anyway to upload that sound?
