    Will try the hair dryer trick out on my Hoka Ora recovery sandals. I love the footbed but the slide is way too narrow for me to get my foot in without wedging the the tip against something. If I melt them, it's a good reason to try buying a full size up. Thanks for the tip!

      Hope it works! It’s annoying, as do love the feel of the shoe just a little too narrow

    Thanks for the vlog I'm really interested in the peregrine 10's. I'm curious , do you often have issues with with running shoes being a bit too narrow? I ask because most shoes fit fine for me but every once in awhile I'll try on a pair that are just too narrow. Also, I know that my Endorphin Speed's were a little tight on my first couple of runs but then stretch out and now fit perfectly. Wondering if you think the Peregrine 10's with stretch the same way?

      Thanks for watching, yes I do. I have done a lot videos about it but to sum it up my feet are a little bit wider than normal - so now I generally use Altra shoes - took me time to transition to zero drop though - but love them. The peregrine does come in a wide too, but it was the cushion for me was just a bit too responsive... but it is a great shoe - and might try the wide one day !👍

      Thanks for the quick response. I'll get down to my local running store and give them a try. I very much appreciate your input!!!@@movemorenowjames

    Nice review, Have you never heard of a shoe stretcher? Cheap on Amazon and work great.

      Hi... no, not stretcher ... I do know sketcher ? Some of their new shoes are great - really bouncy foam.

      @@movemorenowjames Funny. I was trying to help. I use one occasionally and you can widen a toebox easily with one of the devices.

      @@MonteComeau sorry, I miss read the first message ... I see, a shoe stretcher ... ok, sounds like a good idea. Will look into it, thanks ... (i wasn’t trying to be funny) ... cheers 👍

    Interesting trick to widen the shoe, did the jar and heat work?

    • @movemorenowjames
      @movemorenowjames  3 роки тому +1

      It kind of works a little ... but not enough for me on this shoe. I used the trick years back when Hoka only did super narrow - but again, not a wise idea!

    The Peregrines are on the wide side for me - i get creases in the forefoot when i tie then properly (but they are very comfortable nonetheless). Now - do you think I could get a proper lockdown in an Altra Olympus - Im looking for something more cushioned for the long/recovery runs.
    Thanks for the great content on your channel!
    Cheers!

    • @movemorenowjames
      @movemorenowjames  3 роки тому +1

      If the peregrine is wide then probably no, the Olympus would be too much volume for a proper lockdown... maybe the Timp? Or best bet would be a Hoka speedgoat, they run narrow ...

      @@movemorenowjames Hi again! So the Olympuses did arrive and... they are not to roomy after all. In fact - I might even go down one size - there's more room for my long big toe, that was a big surprise. Do you keep track of the mileage of your Olympuses? How far did your ride in them so far? What mileage do you expect to get in them?

    • @movemorenowjames
      @movemorenowjames  3 роки тому +1

      @@lukaszczegotutaj ah, good... yes I do keep a rough track (but have been very accurate in the last few months) .. i have covered about 350-miles , the midsole still feels good but there are some tears in the upper / but there’s still life left !

      @@movemorenowjames excellent - I've seen your clips, they get a pretty rough treatment ;)
      Hope you will get plenty more of this ride!
      I'll get mine in smaller size tomorrow - along with the Lone Peaks 4.5 - almost half the price now. I lean towards the Olympuses though, even at the full regular price...

    Are these the regular D Width Peregrines, or are these the 2E and still too narrow? Almost about to pull the trigger on these but have paddles for feet. Thanks.

    • @movemorenowjames
      @movemorenowjames  3 роки тому

      These were regular D, the 2E should be ok...
      Depends on the paddle?! They may still taper at the end , squeezing the toes! ... have you looked at Altra or topo athletic?

      Also, not sure if you saw but I did a video for people with wider feet ! (Plus bunions / Morton’s etc)
