There are three stages of a fisherman. 1: Catch any and everything. 2: The trophy fisherman. Finally the pinnacle 3: The master who is just happy to be out there. You my friend are reaching master level. Mahalo for taking care of our resources for future generations.
David Koba right on🤙🏽 I appreciate this so much. Wish most people can learn from this and even be inspired by my videos. It’s about time spent. For me I love just getting away from it all, fishing is where nothing else in the world matters to me besides fishing, just that few hours makes me the happiest guy in the world!
I was trying to catch mullet from a high rock one time, I didn't have a float only some small hooks. I needed to use a big piece of bread to be able to cast it out far enough but I wasn't hooking up either, they were picking at the bread though. What I ended up doing was tying on a second hook about 6 inches above, then putting a small piece of bread on one hook and a big piece of bread on the other hook. They would pick at the big bit and swallow the small bit down in one bite. It works really well, I think it could have done the job for you. Cheers John Australia
Bra grab a 9-12’ graphite telescopic cane pole from Unko Tokunaga and strap um to the bottom half of one of your dunks. They weigh next to nothing and are like an ATM for bait. I think I’ve ended up with everything from 5’-20’ and I run all mine with some cord up top to a snap swivel so I can bring 1-3’ leaders for different baits I may target (can also usually stash all stuffs in and on pole). Pole and small kit (floro,weight/float, hooks) weighs barely anything and it’s nice to have a dedicated bait pole, also nice that it’s so simple. Also, mahalo for the vids bra!
Ay sky, I'd strongly recommend you run snell knots on your slides. Better hook up ratios per strike. Also hook your baits slightly further back so the bait is forced to swim opposite causing the bait to go either down or further out. Good luck! You'll gettem soon since summers right around the corner.
@@25shortyboi Thanks. Ive been looking all over online. I even have family looking in Hawaii. Lol Its called the 2 for 1 Dakine hip sack. Im gonna keep looking. Thanks for the reply.
