Your hair looks great. Enjoy it while it lasts and don’t stress about it. I went bald. About 15 years of getting balder and balder. It sucked. Covid hit and I shaved everything off. Most liberating thing I have ever done.
I’d love to see another hair style/health update video! I want to know what you’ve changed since this video, if anything. Old products/methods that you realized weren’t for you, and new ones that you’ve adopted!
Just a tip for your hair- for towel drying don't rub it with a towel, gently pat it dry or better yet use an old tshirt to do the same. Friction roughs up the cuticle making it prone to breakage and dulls the shine of the hair
Hello Mr. Snail. I stumbled upon your summer outfit video and have been going through all of your other videos. Just want to say that I dig your content. They are wholesome and make me laugh. Congrats on the collab with N&F.
I have similar hair, you should give J.S. Sloan lightweight pomade a try. You'd love it for certain days where you don't want it to be overbearing. PLUS, the smell is unbelievable.
Real Q: As someone who has started spinning up an actual clothing company, what’s your take on things like the claim/mythology behind brands like Oni Denim being some 90 year old man with a single loom making impossible fabrics? Like, are the Japanese denim brands just unique fabrics and well constructed, or are they really doing something special with their whole weaving processes?
Good question! I’m way to new in the game to really know anything BUT there is a lot more pride in becoming a master craftsman in Japan than in the US so i think there’s a lot of truth to what they are saying AND they made denim much more into an art but mixed in with that always is a little bit of marketing
your hair looks great. Mine is similar to yours, but a bit thinner on top, so when wet it looks not good. i am currently struggling about it, keep it longer or shaving it off? i might keep it as long as its decent and i can use pomemade properly like you
Yea, the balding thing… welp it’s been an issue for me since I was a teenager. It kind of stopped at one point, then started receding again about a year or so ago. I’m trying Keeps, but I don’t know if that’s even doing anything. For the rest of the hairs I do have, I use Suavecito and Layrite and those have been good. I’ll definitely check out the ones you mentioned here …
Michael, I can see that you are starting to take off. This is obvious because the quality of your work is turning top notch (with top notch hilatities and well-timed editing) plus you've been making Hollywood power moves by dating other UA-cam celebrities and you've had the good sense to humbrag about that in an early video where you had buried one of your denim pants under a river rock and lost them. If you were going into American Idol for youtubers I think you'd be referred to as a 'Triple Threat' and the judges would be left with no choice but to send you off to Hollywood. Please do remember us even after you make it big and find yourself getting invited to celebrity dinner parties and rubbing elbows with big league names such as Mel Gibson, Nicholas Cage, and Sylvester Stallone. Remember all of us that started with you from the beginning and suffered through some of earlier work with the hope and belief that things would get better.
Reason I don’t relate to this, I don’t use pomade, but I’d like to try it. I have a lot of hair it’s currently pretty short for me, down to my collar. I do not run, I bike. I am a woman. Great video! You’re hilarious.
Great Video and Intro! You've recommended arcadian pomade to me before on another video of yours and I am near the end of either replenishing the supply or trying something else out. Perfect Content timing! I agree, the window is real, if you miss it, you've missed it, that's it. It's over. Time for a notha showa! Cheers!
Big fan of your channel! Love the reviews and editing style. I started using Reuzel myself and like it, but I was wondering, what are your thoughts on shampoo/conditioner brands? I’ve been using American crew but there has to be better choices out there right?
Hey Michael...boy you've done it again. You gotta stop influencing me so well. Anyways, what's your strategy if you're time limited(I'm an always late person). Anyway to get into "the window" artificially?
Another cool channel you'll love mr snail is TDM style he has gone over so many types of home brews and other brands and Ithe goodfellow brand is probably the best ingredients for cheap, but his channel is amazing quality and hes a great guy too
Hey Michael, I have dived into the deep end for hair product and found that Hanz De Fuko claymation is the best thing ever. Not sure why other companies even exist at this point.
I have been using the stuff from Lush for years and it smells like fruit loops and it has been the best hair product I have used and it just washes out.
Moroccan oil Texture clay is by far the best stuff I’ve ever used & I’ve used almost all of them. Works for all hair types & last all day. Check it out
Weehoo Arkansas! “Well, I've been blessed with good hair, or at least some people think it is. It is the way it is, sort of does what it wants to. So, yeah, I guess it is [a metaphor for your views on art and life].” David Lynch
LoL dude just use sea salt spray and a hair dryer. Even hair gel works as a good pre hair styler. Hair dry; gel applied; hair dryer blows; style with your favorite product.
As someone who has used pomade and has styled my hair, a top tip I was told by my barber is buy a good quality and hand sawed comb. I recommend Kent combs, cheap, look cool and are great quality. The reasoning is because machine manufactured combs can be rough between the teeth due to the manufacturing methods, which can damage the hair and cause splitting. The hand made combs are much smoother and the plastics tend to be better for the hair. I noticed a real difference, they are less pully and also makes you look like you know what you're doing 😎
Had to stop the video a minute in because I was immediately hit with realization that my funny bone was about to be tickled and I'm simply not prepared to deal with that right now.
hmmm you don't look like you're balding, sometimes it's a psychological thing, maybe you had more hair in the past, but pls be happy with what you currently have and don't stress much about it
Ha ha! I'm mad jealous of today's hair products. Back when I had hair, American Crew had just come out so before that I was going to ancient drug stores and looking for their tubes of Brylcreem and Royal Crown (which is great if you want bugs to chase you.) I started balding in high school and all the men in my family are bald so I knew I had a limited time with my hair. To that end, I had fun with it. Pompadours, mohawks, undercuts, one side shaved, whatever. I finally gave up and started buzzing my hair when I turned 30. The bright side is you can always grow a beard if you miss messing with hair products. Fun fact: in my dreams I still have hair!
I used Brylcreem once and WHEW it literally looked like i poured olive oil on my head And woah! When i dream i usually am trying to run from something but am never quite fast enough

Bag of hammers i can not thank you enough for the tip!
moment of silence for all the hair that has fallen in the war against baldness.
It’s a brutal war and our allies are retreating

Hey thanks so much!
I hope take this the wrong way but I love just how insane your videos are!!
Bahaha no I take that as a compliment!
Unsure if I have missed what you are implying but what is the secret?! How did you turn it around and get those luscious locks we see today?

What kind of comb would you recommend for the combing part?
You ain't going bald son! I'm bald it's a real pain. But enjoy the hair you have. Love the vid. Wish I had hair.
Ty ty ty!
Does pomade help during winter when wearing a beanie?

Wow thanks! What i nice comment to read, who knows! If i ever blow up i may fly out to Paris and never remember any of this
Wait so what products are you using for balding right now?
My hair is like 2 feet of hair. Can I do this still?
Reason I don’t relate to this,
I don’t use pomade, but I’d like to try it.
I have a lot of hair it’s currently pretty short for me, down to my collar.
I do not run, I bike.
I am a woman.
Great video! You’re hilarious.
Bahahaha ty!
Have you tried any other types of styling products aside from pomade? such as a wax or paste? Paste works really well with my fine hair
Yup! Paste is the bomb!

Hey I was waiting to see if you’d comment! Glad you like it!
@@TheIronSnail the Arcadian matte paste is in my hair right now since 7am going strong - it has trumped all past pomades and clays I once swore by.

Tbh I barely wash my hair so I don’t even know! Hahaha
Running a mile is hard. Haven't done it since high school. Like 15 years ago
Hey Michael...boy you've done it again. You gotta stop influencing me so well. Anyways, what's your strategy if you're time limited(I'm an always late person). Anyway to get into "the window" artificially?
When i used to work in an office I’d do my hair when i get to the office (in the bathroom!)
Man. I am glad you finally said you didnt have hair. I was like "someone should tell him, but I dont think it needs to be youtube in a cowboy hat"
Bahahahaha no you’re the only person I’d believe
Nice haircut bro! I don’t use shampoo either, I find my hair a lot less oily that way lol
Same! Death to shampoo!
Shear Revival makes great stuff!
Agreed!
Great new Barnet.
Thank you thank you!

Great fucking video! Have you tried Mailroom Barber's shampoo/conditioner? Any suggestions there?
Hey Michael, I have dived into the deep end for hair product and found that Hanz De Fuko claymation is the best thing ever. Not sure why other companies even exist at this point.
Because claymation isn't the best product for every guy. Additionally it's more expensive bc of the smaller tin
Really! I’ve heard so much about them but never liked their packaging so never actually went in on it. Maybe I’ll have to try!
@@TheIronSnail I found that it is the best thing to barely hold my hairstyle for 2 hours
Noti gang
Gang gang!
I have been using the stuff from Lush for years and it smells like fruit loops and it has been the best hair product I have used and it just washes out.
The elusive fruit loop smell!! I think it’s sandalwood it’s amazing. Going to check that out right now
It’s Friday! Iron snail day!
No it’s Shane Corwin day!
Moroccan oil Texture clay is by far the best stuff I’ve ever used & I’ve used almost all of them. Works for all hair types & last all day. Check it out
I shall!

I’m tellin ya man!

Nught nught, don’t let the bed bugs bught.
The window. Yes. 100% must get it done in the window or it’s back into the shower.
If you miss the window you crash the car!
I actually believed before watching it that the window part of the video would only be about sticking our head through a window to dry it
That would be hysterical

currently growing out my hair 🤣.

We all remember our first…..comment from someone telling you “Wow! You’re balding!” 😫
“It’s a miracle!”
Yeah...what're you gonna do right? May we all have the gall to do what we want with our hair or lack of hair.
Finally a first again
this just feels...right
