She was a newlywed watching her career and reputation fall apart all over suing for her royalties at this moment in time. An injunction prevented her performing new and/or older music in the US.

One of Irene Cara's finest vocal performances. This is truly a great, underrated song. Inexplicibly, it was not included on her Carasmatic album even though it was a b-side to that album's only single "Girlfriends".
