Hello Mark, Thank you for the video. I've never been to Belper. Maybe should have done while living up north were I was born, in Saltney. It seems a higgledy-piggledy sprawling place with a hotch-potch of buildings. Those old factories are magnificent and lovely, aren't they ? The engineering impressive. I loved your views of the dusty back lanes flanked with sturdy cottages. They may not have had any bathrooms or indoor loos but they were built to keep out the weather and lovely to look at. There are some at the back of most of our towns and a delight to find. What a good idea to make the video on Christmas day when there is a wonderful lull in life, the silly panic over and roads are clear. It was misty all over, I believe. It was in Cornwall, where I live and has been for almost a week now. Very damp.
I lived in Falmouth for a while. And Penryn. Also very charming and higgledy-piggledy in a coastal sense. But not gentrified and made of glass and PVC like so much of the modern rubbish. Walking around some modern cities - it looks like Lego or a Pixar film set. Thanks for the comment. Best wishes.
@@lascellesthornton1976 I liked the way you showed over walls and the full view around the place. Even though we knew it was a railway track or yard, it was still nice to see it. Looking all over is what we would have done if we had been there ourselves. Thanks
